A few of our players have kicked on in their second season, in the past

If Sissoko and Jansen could do the same that would help the squad out immensely

We live in hope...

Happy KWP is starting, but he should anyway as our only fit RB.

Disappointed with the 4231, extremely fucked off to be seeing Dier in CM with Dembele with Winks available.

Why have Wanyama on the bench if he's not ready? What if we get in injury after 10mins, never understood that logic. If he's fit, he starts, if he's not ready, don't put him on the bench.

Sissoko.

Glad to see Bus Conductor continuing his scattergun approach to scapegoats since the departure of Kyle Walker... ;-)

Love you SC, never change. COYS!

:banghead:

Whoever talksport have at St James Park jus said that having seen the team sheets he expects Spurs to line up as

Lloris
Dier. Toby. Verts. Davies
KWP. Sissoko. Dembele. Erikksen
Alli. Kane

Gets me disproportionately annoyed-he is PAID to know about football :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I doubt Poch has changed his opinion on KWP in the course of a week. I suspect he knew he was ready when he made that comment, but was probably trying to put a bit of pressure on Levy to get his facking cheque book out.

The chickens could really come home to roost today with that line up, not signing a right back and being that short up front that sissoko is playing could be a major fuck up on our part!!

My point is why would he be sub in the first place. If it's lack fitness then I'd rather he did an hour from the start than a few mins as a sub. If he really could only go for say half hour then I don't see the point of having him on the bench. If it's purely selection then I don't personally agree with it. But hey ho.

Pochettino clearly would rather give him minutes at the end of the game rather than start him. What if he starts and injuries or a sending off enforces other changes and he ends up having to play more than he's ready for and is unavailable for Chelsea next weekend?

A back up striker is never really going to "kick on" though are they?

There's rarely been a striker in history worth a wank that's impressed the world as "back up" from the bench is there? Strikers, more than anyone need continuity and rhythm.

I think it's crazy expecting your bench striker to provide what your uber first choice does. Have to be realistic, we are not going to have Kane in the team and another Kane on the bench.

Great to sergeant to see KWP starting. Part of me thinks Poch didn't want to big him up too much to keep the pressure off him and keep expectations realistic, the other part thinks it was just so Rafa didn't target him on his debut.

COYS!!

Coverage on the SkySports channel is so shit. They can't stop sucking United's dick.

Anyone thinks that could be some kind of 5 at the back?

Like this:

-------------------------Lloris----------------------
--------Toby---------Dier----------Verts----------
--KWP--------------Dembele-------------Davies--
---------Sissoko--------------Eriksen--------------
--------------Kane----------Dele--------------------

I know Moussa is not a holding mid but with the right movement could work.
