Even Barcelona can get their Sissokos.*

_______________
*Not fair, conceded. Not until Sissoko grabs us a last-minute effort against Swansea to win us the game.

i don't think he was a bad player - PL didn't suit him obviously. Some uncharitable comments on here. Lets be a little bit more classy people.

was never as bad as people made out, and never as good as we hoped. but he was more useful than Soldado (and scored just one less goal) who never got the abuse Paulinho got.

I got six pack abs from laughing so hard when I heard the news. This guy is so so bad I have no idea why Barcelona would possibly want him. Only Sissoko challenges him for the title of our worst midfielder of the past decade. The guy is 29 years old and other than two disastrous years with us he's never played in anything resembling a half-decent league, he even flopped in Lithuania and Poland FFS.

To quote myself in the other thread:

"Couldn't pass, couldn't tackle, couldn't beat a man, no real engine, missed a lot of chances even if he did get into good positions. Most of the time the guy looked like he thought he was playing barefoot on Copacabana beach."

Haven't been this stunned by a transfer since Alan Pardew unveiled Tevez and Mascherano in West Ham shirts on deadline day.

flopped in Lithuania? He was 18 years old and scored 5 goals from the midfield. They were relegated so he left.

Paulinho had a decent scoring ratio record for us...Wasn't bad as people made out.

Good luck to him. I reckon spainish and other more technical league is made for him...ie Italian

I don't think he was ever forgiven for shirking while standing in the wall. Good luck to him, I hope we had a sell on clause so we get a few bonus quid come our way.

Watch us draw Barcelona in the CL and Winks run circles around him.

Sometimes there may be transfers like this that would make you really wonder why we got rid of the player in subject but this definitely isn't one of them. Even if he's a world beater at Barcelona I remember what I thought of him in his time with us and he really strangely just looked like a poor footballer. As in a bit uncomfortable with the ball sometimes.

Which Paulinho will they get?

Such a strange player. I remember moments of good football in the first year interspersed with absolute WTF moments. Strangely got into good positions but missed so many sitters for every goal he scored.
