I'd happily sell the chippy little fucker for stupid money now, he's nowhere near as great as he thinks he is, and go and offer what it takes to get Sessegnon (who's already a better attacker than Rose). Fucking sat around doing fuck all for 6 months talking about players we might have to google ? What like him ? Fucking stupid bumbaseed.

If you speak out against your employees in a negative light in public it's gross misconduct, that's a sack able offence and written in pretty much every contract these days. There's been countless offences where people have made remarks about their company on social media for example only to be fired for it.
Just to add that I'm an employment lawyer, and you're right in that adverse public comments can definitely constitute gross misconduct - although each case turns on its own facts, and the particular circumstances. "Gross misconduct" isn't a phrase you'll find defined in either statute or case law; it simply means misconduct that warrants dismissal without notice. Most employers, and certainly ones as large as THFC, will have a non-exhaustive list of what the employer regards as gross misconduct, usually in the disciplinary section of the staff handbook, whether contractual or not contractual.

Irrespective, and Unfortunately, when the employee in question is also an asset worth £60m or so, they get treated differently than Joe Bloggs.

Do Spurs pay badly? In a word: no.

I couldn't care less what he said as his opinion fades into insignificance. All I care is when he is match fit and on the pitch.

So Rose could google him whilst he's out injured.
Danny hasn't got time to google at the moment. He is too busy with his calculator working out how many more £10,000s a Spurs reject (Paulinho) has earned more than him in the past couple of seasons and seasons to come.

The worlds gone crazy when we couldn't now afford to re-sign Paulinho........not that I'd want that!

People talking about Sessegnon, is he even still a left back? Whenever I've seen him play he seems to be playing left wing.

Those saying he shouldn't play again are a bit silly. Thankfully DL and Poch would never be so naive.

Think it's all a question of timing. If the interview had been at the back end of the season, then I reckon the reaction to it from Poch especially is a lot more severe and he might have been bombed out of the club during the summer. At a relatively late stage in transfer window proceedings, and with focus needed on the start of the season, its wise to put a lid on it and try to move on as quickly as possible.

I think though Rose is going to be a very watched man when he resumes training. If he's not showing 110% commitment then I suspect Poch might pondering the alternatives.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. As many have posted above, his inclusion on the starting 11 might generate a bad atmosphere. Fans don't like him anymore and might start booing him at every chance.

But considering we have to play CL this season, we either find a suitable replacement for him or Poch will be forced to play Rose quite a lot.

As long as he's a Spurs player and is giving his best, we can't realistically ask for anymore at this point.

It's inevitable now, I imagine that he won't be here for much longer, and when he does go, unfortunately, generally, I don't think we'll mourn his leaving.

I'm just a bit bummed out by it. I really like how he plays, but he's fucked up and unless he comes back into the team and deals maturely with the abuse he's (rightly?) going to get and gives his all for a long enough period that we can all get over this, I can't see him being here in 12 months time.

Also, and he I'd hope he'd bare this in mind. With the exception of Lloris, Eriksen, Harry and Toby, I don't think you could make a realistic argument that anyone in this squad would be as a good a player without Poch. Danny Rose isn't maybe quite as a good a footballer as he thinks he is.

We play a system that dictates everyone relies on their team-mates for nearly every aspect of their play - we're a team that is greater than the sum of it's parts. Danny could well get found out playing under anyone else - in much the same manner I think a certain Kyle Walker may at City.

I generally don't get all bent out of shape about players being honest or realistic about stuff, but this is a pretty crass diatribe for a player who we've been paying to do fuck all for months.

There's ways you can say things without slagging off the club and alienating sensible fans, then there's shit like this which is just going to piss off his employer, his manager and most fans, who see footballers already massive wages as a personal affront.

The whole "I want paying what I'm worth and none of my team mates are being payed their worth" is just a completely unnecessary bit of club bashing for a club which has been patient and made you the player you are.

It's one thing thinking stuff like that, it's another thing saying it to your mates, friends and family, it's just fucking crass, conceited and unnecessary to go to the Sun and announce it to the world.

Sorry, BC, I still don't see it. I think it's only fans who think this has destabilised the club. MP has moved on. The players have said they're not bothered by it. What's the big fuss about? Danny Rose has always shown 100% commitment on the field IMO (unlike some others). As long as this continues I will support him. Sure, if his level of *onfield* commitment drops, I would happily consider selling him. But I doubt this will happen, personally.

He didn't show 100% commitment pre-Poch and that's why he received a lot of deserved stick from fans which he's now complaining about and says he still remembers. He'd lose the ball and just lazily jog after it every time and rarely bothered to track back if the team lost the ball in an advanced position. His talent wasn't really in question at that time, just his application of it. I do agree though that fans are making this a bigger deal than it probably is internally at the club.

The problem with this is that this came during the Sherwood era and you can point the finger at a lot of our players when he was managing the club so it's a bit unfair to single him out on for that because there were others in the team who couldn't be asked as well.

Yep - Jan downed tools and I still remember Eriksen's smirk in a post match interview when asked about Sherwood as a manager.
