Even if this is true, it means we've sold 70,000 tickets for a premier league game. Only OT holds more. 10,000 more than the goons sell out, 25,000 more than Shitford Bridge and 35,000 more than WHL. Also our new home would have sold out. So I have no issue with this at all.

True and with many people like my family being away on their summer holidays, 70,000 is not bad at all.

They were advertising Man City v Everton tickets on TalkSport yesterday and that's a muxh smaller stadium.

If I buy a ticket from the Tottenham wetsite for Chelsea game how will I receive my tickets?

If you are a member it should get added to your stadium access card - if not you get sent paper tickets through the post....

Given it's quite soon, you might want to give them a ring to see what happens with non-member tickets, I wonder if you might have to pick the tickets up from somewhere near Wembley on Sunday ??? Anyone know?

They've said before that there will be a ticket office at Wembley on matchdays, but don't take my word for it, give the club a call.

So does this mean it's actually sold out - or have they just decided that there are chunks of the stadium that aren't worth opening at this stage?

I'd imagine so. They've probably decided they are better of leaving sections at the back closed and filling all the missing seats left by season ticket holders on the lower tiers.

there's still some seats available spread around the stadium but very few and most are up in the gods....guess the club thought they could make an extra buck by selling seats in better areas of the stadium.

mine (3) have now been sold for £52 each by the club and I only get £35 back for each ticket....

Apparently it was police advice not to put the remaining seats on sale, so as to avoid any Chelsea fans getting them.

That difference in price is ridiculous and totally unjustified. Just swapping one mistake (StubHub) for another (Silly fees and sales for 1/19 of ST price, not the face value price for the game, made even worse by the fact it will only be for big games the exchange will ever be open).

Not quite true. It was police advice not to put the tickets on general sale to non registered individuals. The club are the ones who decide whether to fully open the top tier or keep the back half of west and east shut.

The flip side being that if you sell your tickets for a Cat C game, you technically make more money than if you sold it under the "face value" method... Swings and roundabouts.
It will weed out those who sell to make money off it rather than those with genuine reasons not to attend.

but I bet the Cat C games never go to exchange. Unless the club closes sections of the ground.
