Whilst he's in direct contact why not ask how much draxler is if he's no longer wanted, get a double deal going.

Draxler is paid 110% more than Danny Rose. He might not have to google the identity of the player though, so maybe he won't find out

When the same person then calls the guy a 'f*ggot' I'd say it's fairly homophobic yeah

I'd be inclined to agree, though it isn't always as black and white as that. At the very least, it suggests he isn't terribly thoughful/tolerant.

The court case and the original homophobic comments are incredibly harming and probably mean we wouldn't go there. But the follow up stuff put in here is quite light. Not acceptable, but not anything I haven't heard people joke about all the time. Saying he sucks his dick for example, that's just a dig at being the teachers pet.

Incredibly naive to believe little comments like that aren't made in the dressing room all the time.

Of course, but there's a different between private dressing room jokes and using a sexuality to insult your boss and coworkers live on Periscope imo

Indeed, but that's a sign of poor judgement rather than a sign of Aurier being more of a **** than other players.

I think if we signed this guy, Davison and Balde we could win the league. Big statement but I genuinely believe we'd have too much, and be too well drilled for anyone to stop us.

I don't know his exact words, but saying that a guy blows another guy is hardly homophobic, is it?

I think he's overall attitude seems to imply that he may have a problem with gay people. Even if he doesn't, he sounds like a **** and do we really want someone like that in our dressing room?

Its a very delicate issue, but overall I'm not sure you can say for sure that he is homophobic, and I've been thinking that as I read the thread these past few days. All these comments come from his Periscope diatribe, when he was sitting around with his mate (playing computer games?). He's guilty of utterly moronic behaviour, and he's clearly not the sharpest tool in the box, but can't we say that for a large quantity of footballers ? Some people are raised in certain circles or hang with groups of friends where a whole slew of crass sounding phrases, insults and words zing about the place without much of a thought to their actual meaning. It's not necessarily the case, that Aurier is literally homophobic in the true sense of the word. Of course he may be, but he may also just be an idiotic young male who's daily language is peppered with colourful and not entirely PC language at times, but doesn't even have a particular axe to grind with gay people

Either way, the sheer stupidity of his periscope antics is enough to cast him in a pretty bad light alone

It's not always the mistakes we should look at it's wether he makes them again. He may be a bad egg, but I don't think that cause he called someone a faggot.

Mr Brain's Faggots.

Would it be fair to say those 3 words pretty much sum up majority of previous posts.

Mr certainly lacked brains allegedly calling another faggot.

No doubt he is a really good player but is a complete ***** of a person. Really don't believe we are after him at all.

He's young and clearly a bit of a fool at times. But we should always give the benefit of the doubt, and assume that under the guidance of a person like Poch, they can evolve and mature.

Character issues aside... he really would fill an urgent need in terms of experience playing in CL, etc. I love KWP, and have a sneaky feeling that he might turn out to be a brilliant player. But we are better off brining him in gradually, as opposed to thrusting him into the fray on a regular basis. Granted, you can only learn by doing. But you can also destroy a player's confidence if they make a few mistakes.

If Poch and Levy are smart, they'll sign this chap to a shorter contract, with the full understanding that they'll likely let them go in a couple of years.... giving KWP sufficient time to show he's got the goods.
