I think it's an appeal against his conviction and there's no guarantee he'll get the verdict before the window closes.

All I could find from various articles is that the Appeal against conviction was due to be heard on 7/8/07. Also he was sentenced to 2 months imprisonment (not suspended) and is/was on bail until the Appeal.

I don't disagree with you, I just think it's a bit hypocritical to be so one-sided about Aurier, and then head out for a after-work Friday night gathering where the same shit is spouted off left, right and centre. Some of us might even be happy paying to hear homophobic rants as jokes on UK clubs and stages.

Not the same thing at all to be honest.

Anyway...as others have said I'd hope that if we do want to sign him, Poch and the team have spoken to him at length to get a feel for his character as well as his footballing skill.

I'd hope we do that with most players, but certainly more so when they've had a bit of an iffy past.

He's a bit of a **** but lets ne honest. Each and every one have all said and done some pretty stupid things when drunk. It comes with territory. He is a quality player and if Poch wants him then we should give him a chance. If he signs, im sure the club will have him put out an apology for prior transgressions and we'll take it from there.

Why would the club make him apologise for past "transgressions ? He wasn't our player when these incidents occurred." As has been said, if he signs for us it's a clean slate.

Made a throat slitting gesture to opposition fans.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/psg-star-serge-aurier-makes-9014786

Took 10 minutes to get ready to come on as sub.

Not sure if anything else
WTF is this concern about the throat slitting gesture? I have seen people complain about this in this thread. Is this really a problem people have? If so, our own Eric Dier did it at the bridge 2 seasons ago. Is that really a sign of poor character?

Every player should take at least 10 minutes to get warm before coming on. If they have less time then the Mgr has made a mistake. Muscle injuries are a thing.

You have an agenda, fine. You don't want this transfer and we get it. But these lame points don't bolster your position.

Calm your tits. I was answering a question.

Oh it happens all the time. Only a professional footballer has to understand that their actions have a representation on the club and not just themselves. If our fans are saying this about a player we could be signing you can only imagine what opposition fans will be saying if we sign him. I expect he will be worked closely with to ensure it doesn't happen with us though.

You were answering a question, then fair enough. But implicitly that means those points inform your position as they were the answer to 'what has he done' or some such. So my tits remain calm and your points remain lame.

Well if this thread has achieved anything it's reduced the list of posters who I will be taking seriously going forwards.

But anyway....please can we now draw a line under this and keep the talk to the football side of things.

Cheers.

Back on the football side....

Poch has talked today about bringing in four players.

If you assume Gazza, Barkley and Sanchez, that only leaves space for either a right back or a forward player.

Based on KWP's form in pre-season and against Newcastle, I'd suggest the forward player is the more important one for us so we might not be in for a right back at all.
