I know that ITK reports say this one is dead but if we were making good headway with it before Juve got involved it does make me wonder if this is one of those deals we may try to resurrect on the last day

I thought the same as you, then I realised that if the player has his heart set on Juve his agent would definitely be keeping them updated with any potential movement elsewhere. We live in hope though

Of all the players we could potentially sign, he's the one I want the most! Would bring some much needed pace to the team, that's the one thing we're lacking I feel, some real pace on the wings/upfront!

I completely agree. It's not like we are a bad of shite if we don't get him. However, he does bring to the team a bag of tricks that we don't have. So, it would allow us to switch things up. In particular if we are playing against teams that will park the bus.

We're fine against teams that try and park the bus against us. In fact we may have become the best team in the league against that tactic. Where we need Balde is against teams that press us high and play back at us. Like Liverpool and City.

I can't seem to completely give up hope of this. I know ITK has said it's off but... Poch said he wanted 4 if possible tho it would be difficult. So... sanchez, barkley, aurier and a pacy forward. But who? No other candidate has been mentioned.

Apparently juve are interested and balde wants to go there but nothing has happened yet. So could it be we still hope he will come to us late on if juve move doesn't happen? Not ideal if he prefers juve but perhaps we think he will be re-enthused by us signing sanchez et al? #wishfulthinkingiknow.

This kid is one of the biggest talents in Italy, there's no limit to what he could achieve if he knuckles down and works hard.
I still think Juve will eventually swoop in before the deadline and take him, they know he has the potential to be one of the best in the world.

People can bash Levy all they want, but if he managed to pull this off. It could potentially be the signing of the summer.

especially if as jj said it's been worked on for months, some serious legwork there.

edit : and also, if it came off, then anyone questioning levy's ambition can just fuck off.

And also Hercules said If it could be done it would be quick which would suggest we've done the personal terms etc. And probably price.

That Hercules info sure seems to match up with this guy. From all accounts pretty much everything was settled until Juve came in with apparent interest. Come on Balde and Baldy!

Edit: Evidently Gards has disliked a Balde post in the ITK thread so perhaps it isn't him.
