Thanks for that, Hercules. I understand you aren't taking questions, but nonetheless I do not understand the phrase "their club wants them to commit to us" in the second para. If I take it out of that sentence, then I understand it!

People seem to be getting a bit carried about JS and RS. They are children, literally. Great for the future but not gunna make much difference for a couple of years and no garuntee they will fulfil their potential. For every Dele Alli there's a John Bostock.

Good post, but a bit of me just died inside reading that spelling :p

Unless it's a cryptic?

Garuntee
is an anagram of teenagur so would fit with either the Sancho or Sessegnon ITK :p

Lazio want to sell Balde to us imo

With all the players that have been linked to us via ITK I think the most important player we can get is Aurier closely followed by Barkley. Sessengon and Sancho would be great signings and vital for the long term but in the short to medium term (this season and next) they're not massively important and I'd put any potential wide forward above the youngens too. TBH, though, I'm not even massively bothered about a wide forward as long as we get Barkley. Get Barkley and Aurier to go with Sanchez and I'm happy.

Implication is the selling clubs are keen for the player to go to us, whilst the player is holding out for somewhere else.

Baving only discovered SC this summer, and being grateful for the possible insight into the club's dealings, my curiosity is nonetheless piqued by the verification process those ITK have to go through before being validated by the staff.

In my mind, it involves a moonless night, hooded robes and a blood oath, possibly also the ceremonial burning of Arsenal merchandise just for fun...

Always leaves a bad taste in the mouth when you hear that a player would rather join another team and, even at this stage of the window, is still not swayed by our offer.

Great ITK though @Hercules, thanks.

I think we've all really appreciated your info this summer, it would have been pretty dull without it! (y)

Balde strikes me as the player that would want a clause in the contract. I'd assume the other player was Martial (with breaking through at Utd his first choice), or one that's been kept under wraps.

After the latest news I got one of those "Pillars of Hercules" - quite grateful at my age. Soon sorted it out though, and didn't even need to go to Gibraltar.

Balde is young so fair enough if he'd rather stay in Italy (and move to the best team in the country), but it would be nice if he has a change of heart and jumps on the Poch train

Here is my informed s advice. STOP reading online, twitter fed daily fails, reporters giving their 'hit based nonsense'. All is very, very, very good. Yes, things can change. I am personally pleasantly surprised as I thought all was lost.

As I have stated already, targets we thought had died a painful death has come alive again. A little hint; There are 2 specific forward players (we would take one) their club wants them to commit to us, but they are waiting to see if their choice will stump up the cash. One of the 2 would sign with a clause. We are not prepared to be anybody's stepping stone.

My opinion on Dele changing agents, is nothing to do with a possible transfer 12 months time. He is beyond very happy.

Note: all players contracts at close of window will be negotiated with open to negotiate again as we enter our new stadium. Only players we want to offer those terms will be offered.

Now if you want to keep on reading the spill and nonsense elsewhere, you are truly welcomed. If you know the DD the governors do to verify sources, that alone should give you confidence.

Respectfully, I will not be replying in any form to this post;)

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing. Been very positive reading.

Good news from Hercules.

As ever I'll take it with a pinch of pepper (salt is bad for you) because we've seen this positivity before at this stage of a window only for it all to fall apart (as Hercules says...things can change) but it's at least clear that there are areas the club have identified we need to improve on so hopefully it's now just a case of finding the right players to fit those roles.

Assuming the info about chasing all of these targets is true, it knocks on the head my main issue about ambition and us trying to get away with the bare minimum this season. If we can get the majority of these signed I'll be shocked and delighted in equal measure...

Totally agree. I've wanted us to sign RS all summer, but not to replace Rose immediately. Plus we need players who can make a difference now as well as future potential.

In fact, I think people are getting carried away in general due to the transfer/ITK giddiness that this thread inevitably brings. With the names and sheer quantity of potential signings in the next two weeks, the idea that it's ok to sell the two best wingbacks in the PL to direct title rivals seems to be too easily accepted. It would be a disastrous move, especially as we seem to be buying more than one CB suggesting a back 3 is going to be our default formation.

I'd love Martial, but if we want to be a big club we need to go out and buy the players necessary to make the difference, either now or when they are available. Not acquiesce to be the other big clubs bitches in the process. If we want to challenge we should be keeping the same team and adding 2 or 3 quality additions, not significantly weakening ourselves in order to make other signings.

Loving the ITK. Really intrigued to see how this window finally pans out.

Seems like we could well pull off some really intelligent business transfer wise.

Exciting times ahead one thinks.
