Only Spurs can go this deep into a transfer on an essential replacement, pending legal documents!! Why do we do it to ourselves, these scenario's never end well. Pray for Aurier!!

6. Striker we spent s lot of time on is being a dick-head (Balde), and we moved on. Bournemouth have dropped their asking price for Josh King. We have a choice out of four (including him).[B/]

Seems like most on here didn't read the end of Hecules point 6. Josh King is obviously one of four alternatives. Wait for more info before you top yourselves!

If we end up with all this coming to fruition we will have improved our squad. Josh King is a versatile, premiership proven second fiddle to Harry, Sanchez and Foyth would be at worst comparable and, one would hope, in reality an improvement on CCV and Wimmer, Aurier would be a like replacement for Walker and Barkley would be yet another high quality, premiership proven attacking midfielder to push with the four we already have.

Am I the only one who believes that Herc's reference to RS is positive? I read that as he only wants us now but that could change over the next year so we need to get it done?

The one we really need to get over the line is aurier, got no faith in the right back slot at the moment, trippier not a right fit for wing back and can't defend against pace or trickery and kwp needs loaning for development!

I'm sorry but a window of Sanchez, Aurier, Barkley and King would be brilliant.

Don't understand the doommongers.

Because only one of those have actually happened and the window closes in a week?

We've been hearing a load of stuff about how many players we're bringing in. Sancho's imminent, Aurier's basically done, Foyth's moved in with Gazzaniga, etc etc and now we're hearing, "don't worry, next year we're allowed to spend!"

It's the same story every window now. I'm really happy with Sanchez, but there's no way I can see the other deals being done in time. Will happily be proved wrong, but it would literally be the first time I have been.

Plus Josh King is turd.

The one hole in our window if that came to pass would be a pacy attacking option.

I'm assuming that's why we've been looking at Martial and Balde, and it would be disappointing not to get someone in that mould.

Otherwise I agree. I'm a big fan of Josh King and think he'd make a very useful addition to the squad.

Other than the latest news that sancho may not be happening, still reasons to be positive from the itk we had from Hercules

Will definitely get foyth and Barkley aurier I think will get done eventually after all the twist and turns that are out of Spurs control.

I think we will get a wide pacey forward can't see it being king but if that's the player poch wants I will back his judgment. After the links with balde king seems like a right down grade but 16 goals last season says something that maybe he could be a good impact player for us when we need a bit of pace to break teams down

Listen up!
Something has come to light which will please the BSoDL. We have a tight promise agreement with the bank, on managing our spend. This goes back 5 years. This is the reason we got finance for the stadium. To keep it silly simple; there are valid reasons for 'net spend'. It is a very careful
balancing act, and I for one have given our Daniel silent stick for the way he deals.

Told next season will see us change this approach, and onwards and upwards.

I always got the sense that we were saving money in order to pay for the stadium in advance, or at least part fund it. Rather than crippling ourselves after it was built, allowing us to push on straight away. I may just be being overly optimistic though.

Offended by words in a box on a screen.

Oh I piss.

What a time to be alive.

Sorry freeeki, but I hate this kind of attitude. Simply because something is on the internet, it doesn't make it any less real. Everyone who posts on this site is a real person, with the capacity to be upset by what they read, or indeed be offended by it. Yesterday was all fun and games, and I am not in any way saying it wasn't all in good fun, but the idea that someone can't be upset by what someone says to them online is dangerous imo.

The internet is just a form of communication, just like any other.

He will just be the next Michu, Bony the list goes on. I don't think he would see much game time either just my opinion. On the other people we are linked with I'd be delighted with Barkley, Foyth and Aurier.

Michu was a cracking player, he only fell by the wayside at Swansea because of recurring injury. Bony made the mistake that many players do, in that he went to Man City the lack of playing time and poor management ruined him.

I'd be pretty disappointed if we signed Josh King, it would be a vindication of Danny Rose's criticisms of the club imo.

However, 16 goals in the league last season isn't anything to be sniffed at. If he were playing in Serie A, and had scored 16 goals, we'd likely all be salivating over him, just as we all got a boner of Balde.

I know it is easy to belittle Josh King because he isn't baldy or Martial, but he is a decent player and imo, improve the first team squad over what we have. Guy is a decent player, also helps he has proven PL experience. But i rather we did go for someone better, and i would like to see Janssen given another season too.

Still positive for the coming days.

Rose and Janssen go then Sessegnon and King come in. But if we sign Barkley, Aurier and Foyth, Wimmer must be sold to stay in the banks good graces and have no net spend(including January sales and sell ons). So thats about the extent of our transfer business this year if im reading this all correctly. Wonder who we'll sell next year to be active in the market.

That reads as you are judging them just on goals scored? It's not really a good measure. However if we do end up with him I will support him and hope he proves me wrong!

If you were reading that all correctly you should also have read this line
Told next season will see us change this approach, and onwards and upwards.
Which negates the need for your last line.

Though I also don't recall seeing ITK about us selling Rose although some could potentially be interpreted this way

Bit rich when you've just agreed with a post dismissing the bashing of ITKs as banter mate.
