I think we shouldn't take Poch's comments literally.
It is possible that he is just trying to kerb expectations. If he did come out and say "4 more, not including GK or young players" then he's setting himself up badly in case we don't pull these off.

I think he's happy to say 3 as he is confident on Barkley, a RB and Foyth.

"Kerb expectation". So Poch has followed Pleat's footsteps.

Have we ever heard Poch talk so specifically about the number of signings he wants to make at such a late stage? This is what currently gives me hope. Let's give him a bit of credit for a few more days.

Delusionally hoping Foyth isn't one of the three as it'll mean not bringing in the type of player in my opinion along with a RB our squad is in desperate need of.

It's gearing up to Barkley becoming extremely close to signing in days leading up to deadline. Then on deadline day we loan out maybe Sissoko, which gets our hopes up we have a pacey attacking player lined up then all that happens is Barkley is announced at about 10:30pm.

Based on Poch's comments I would kinda hope that whilst Barkley, Aurier and Foyth are all coming in and that could account for the 3 additional players he speaks of, I'm definitely hoping we can add a pacey wing/forward as well, as has been alluded to by Hercules in his earlier post.

Maybe Foyth falls into a young player category? Let's face it, with Sanchez coming in, Foyth is highly unlikely to get first team mins this season.

So to summarise: Poch says three, we need an RB and RB but RB is not an RB so even if we get an RB we still need RB and vice versa.

That about it?

Must admit....whilst I tend to enjoy the ride of the transfer window, I'm feeling a bit sick from this one now and would love to hop off, take something to fall asleep and wake up on 1st September to see what happened.

So poch says he wants 3/4 more signings. Backing up what the itk's have been saying. Good to know they've still got the fingers on the pulse. Well done boys thanks for all the info. Keep it coming

And in a flash Hercules transforms the mood again! Come on Spurs get these done, this window could still be anything from poor to brilliant

Poch expects really 4. I feel good, goody, as insiders believe in the bag. This includes back -ups.
You know what Herc...I like the cut of your Jib. You are the kind of person I would like to have a beer with all happiness and positivity.
I am going to have a great weekend DJing at a Festival tomorrow, taking my 5 year old to his first game on Sunday with my dad then a week at the coast with family.

Happy Friday one and all
