May need @Archibald&Crooks to swing in and say yay or nay but as far as I can tell he's just another twitter itk that hasn't had much of a track record and keeps saying we're going for Dembele (celtic). Last I can tell he's not on the approved itk and should probably not be brought up here as JJ is our lone twitter dude.

Gyid is on Twitter too.

@Rob I'll take your word for it. But how the hell you have the fortitude to sit on something like that while seeing the mayhem on here is beyond med. I'd be a shit ITK cause I'd spill the beans in a heartbeat and get fired from wherever I worked.

Don't they need a non EU spot open first?
Don't think it's that easy. Italias clubs are only allowed to sign two non-EU players from clubs outside Italy per season. Juve have already signed Douglas Costa and Rodrigo Bentancur this summer. So as far as I know, Juve can't sign Aurier this summer, even if they were to free up non-EU spots.

I would imagine that their only chance of getting him now is to have some other italian club buy/loan him, as "a favor", and then buy him from them (or from PSG if it's a loan) next summer.

I thought Aurier had a French passport.

It doesn't seem to me as if Juve is competing with us as much as they are a backup loan option should the paperwork and UK work permit fall through.

Seems that way and with Oxlade-Chamberpot refusing a new deal, opening up Chelsea interest, we appear to have a clear run at this guy

It's just a shame that it's "more complicated than we thought". Yet again.

I think you've misunderstood the good Dr's post. I think he means Chelscum is more interested in the OX and we may have a clearer path to Aurier.

No, I understood. I meant the paperwork issues that have been alluded to in today's ITK.

Think the paperwork has always been the issue. It's been mentioned since the court date on the 7th that the appeal went well and they expected charges to be dropped but it was all a matter of how long the paperwork took. Really hoping this gets done.
