Reminds me of Alan Hutton. Not a big fan. Trippier can cross the ball but that's it. Tottenham vs. Juventus: Did anyone else notice how many times Trippier didn't move fast enough and ball was over the line?

We will all regret that Kyle Walker was sold to Manchester City. We will miss him so bad...

Thank you Kyle.

Sure - Walker was a better player than Trippier when playing at his peak. But Trippier has been showing consistent signs of improvement.

Walker wanted to go. His performances, though very good were not up to his high standards towards the end of last season, amongst the rumours of discontent.

We couldn't have kept Walker and expected very god performances.

Trippier offers us something else and I think - hope - that he will continue to improve along his current trajectory. We are lucky that we had a ready made replacement, who knows the club, is of excellent quality, understands the team ethos and what the manager wants already.

I don't believe that. There were much more signs that Pochettino pushed him out. Longest serving first team player sold to the rivals. Disgrace.

He thanked everyone but Pochettino. How about Quid pro quo? Sign for sign?

"In the video Kyle gives thanks to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, members of the staff, and, of course, to the fans. But he notably does not mention Mauricio Pochettino by name or by title. It’s more evidence that this transfer all started with a breakdown of the relationship between Poch and Walker."

Who knows... Perhaps sour grapes by Walker or he wanted a massive pay hike (which is fine). Or he wasn't putting effort in in training. Or he pissed people off. God knows. We certainly don't. But in the end Pochettino is the boss. Which is what we have to accept I guess.

Should definitely be sacked. Disgusting.

Sure

He has thanked him though and has previously spoken of Pochettino in good terms

"I learnt a lot, especially under the current manager. He's been fantastic with me. But sometimes your path is not there, you have to move on." [http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...ews/man-city-news-walker-pochettino-13420034]

TBF to him he'd just taken a full foot of studs to the calf, wouldn't be easy to move 100% freely after that.

You clearly don't remember Alan Hutton, he is nothing like Trippier. It's as clear as day Walker wanted to leave, you are deluding urself to think otherwise.

Basically got spammed a few pages back, for criticising Trippier's defending.

Just a reminder to you spammers, like last season - Now you can see why, and this is why he's not good enough for a top 4 team.

Trippier isn't suited for the RB role in a 4231. He's better as a RWB with 3 cb's to cover for him. I'm not even sure if he attempted to go past the burnley LB, his fall back option is take a touch and play it back. Makes it incredibly easy for the opposition to limit his threat.

Thank god we sold Walker. We'd have won the FA Cup if he wasn't dropped for the semi-final too. I'm converting to some fucking religion and praying every hour on the hour that we sign Aurier. Play Trippier RM if anything. All he can do is cross, we need more from a right back.

Don't understand why KWP was dropped for him. The performance against Toon was better than anything the full-back version of David Bentley has offered since he's been with us.

Fucked if I care whether I'm knee jerking or not.

Doesn't help that he's playing well below the levels of last season. Looks petrified on the pitch and just keeps turning inside to give a two yard pass. He's in there for his delivery and he didn't put one cross in. I left before the equaliser went in as I took my little one so not sure if he had anything to do with the goal. Need a positive full back with pace ASAP.
