Maybe I had a dream that that happened and it was all fairy dust and sparkles.

Seem to recall we were notified late on via Gullit but he was too expensive and off to Bayern. Then that fell through and Levy stepped in on the last day.

Im sure ive read that a few times on here and heard Gullit/Redknapp both claim it in an interview.

Point still being...it was hardly planned.

Its the obligatory game changing ITK. Club leaks it every window around this time to appease the fanbase as we are always pissed off with levy for pissing about during the window and it costing us points every freaking summer. Nothing to see here. Barkley, Aurier and Foyth coming in will be the extent of the business done.

It's the Wenger technique of making fans happy. Say you're bidding for lots of fantastic players but sign none. At least you tried though.

It's surely not a centre forward we're trying to sign, but a pacey wing forward who would certainly be pushing to be in our first 11.
