Doesnt matter to me that he doesn't get in the Leicester team that much. It's surely more important to be looking at a players attributes and potential. I think this would be a clever buy personally. He could take off with the right manager and players around him.

Seriously, if Gray was of the required standard, Leicester would be keeping him as their Mahrez replacment rather than offering serious cash plus Gray for Andros Townsend.

Raniieri & Shakespeare have watched Gray every day in training, neither has judged him worthy of a run of games in the team, and Shakespeare thinks Townsend is a better player.

I'd far rather give GKN and Marcus Edwards some game time.

Big fan of Gray, disappointed when he went to Leicester. I'd be delighted if we got him - exactly the sort of player Pochettino can get firing on all cylinders.

He'd be an improvement on GNK. But that doesn't necessarily solve our other creativity issues.

We have quite a few examples of players not being great at clubs going elsewhere smashing it and then being bought at hugely inflated prices: Matic and De Bruyne spring to mind.

Wouldn't it be nice to avoid that middle spell and just be the club that he explodes at. I see potential in him, and Poch has a way with English players.

This wouldn't be the worst news in the world for me.

I like him, but for the fee involved I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't prefer we just dug a little bit deeper for Mahrez or someone more likely to threaten the first 11, as I can only see Gray taking N'Koudou's place on the bench.

Disappointed when he went there for £2.5m or whatever it was.

With the prices of £40m ish being banded around for the likes of draxler. It's an absolute no brainer.

Iove being a breeding ground for English talent but there comes a point where I'd rather win things than be the springboard to a disappointing international career

He has looked good last couple of times I've seen him, one being against Man Utd at the weekend

Struggle to see how Gray is any sort of upgrade on N'Koudou. This has all the hallmarks of we left the shopping late and there is bugger all left on the shelves.

I've watched this guy closely, he isn't going to cut it. There is something missing in his mental make up.

Hopefully it's a smokescreen.

The 'He doesn't get into X's first XI so obviously he is crap' attitude is garbage IMO. There are loads of reasons why talented players, particularly young ones, aren't regular starters. It doesn't automatically mean they're not good enough for us.

If Poch wants Gray (we've been linked with him before) then he thinks he can get the best out of him. He's shown flashes of what he is capable of and is likely only to improve under the watch of one of the best coaches in the game. If he's available, and the fee is not obscene, why not bring him in? It's certainly better than not making any attacking signings at all.

And,as for him being no better than N'Koudou, that's just silly. N'Koudou hasn't shown us anything to back that up.

Toby couldn't get a game for Atletico. Scouting is done on the attributes fitting the buying club's requirements not the selling clubs.

I think this is a very fair point.

Whilst it's not always easy to compare prices of different players, it's hard to see how we couldn't find better value for our £30m+ than Gray somewhere in Europe.
