Ecstatic and a bit gutted.
Looks like an excellent signing but Wanted to see more of KWP.
Looks like he will be third choice now and that's a little harsh after seeing him against Newcastle.

KWP needs to play week in and week out to take it to the next level. I can't see him getting that with us at this stage and so 12 months away will do him a world of good.

Right. We need a straight jacket and private jet to render this guy to our training ground and get the contract signed before anyone tries to muscle in.

That said, I agree with those who wrote earlier that if Spurs are the sponsor of the work permit, then it is only valid for us, not any other UK employer.
I would have thought that DC would have got him to sign a pre contract subject to getting a visa before going to all this trouble."

Just can't get excited about this given his history. Maybe I'm just too sensitive and, perhaps, he's seen the error of his ways but he's show zero contrition (aside from the forced apology).

He may be just what we need and £25m, in this market, might be a bargain but I just can't shake this dirty feeling

I agree about the dirty feeling to a certain extent, and said so earlier in this thread.

We've been a club who doesn't have that sort of player for a while now, so I'd hope we weren't going to compromise that.

All that said, he did do all that at a separate club, and everyone does deserve a second chance. If he disgraces himself whilst a Spurs player I'll be very annoyed. But until then, he deserves a chance to show he's grown up.

I empathise with both of you but, short of rape or murder, I like to think that most atrocities committed at a young age can be learned from and the individual concerned rehabilitated. Maybe I'm too optimistic / naive but I have faith that if we're signing him then we've done our homework on his mindset in full, especially given who our manager is.

I didn't think this guy would sign for us and as such haven't checked out stats and You Tube stuff... until now.

He's a big upgrade on any RB/WB we've had at the club in recent years - makes Tripp look pedestrian, but will need to adapt.
Quick and aggressive are understatements. Reckon he's gonna be a handful to manage.

whatever you think of levy replacing Walker and still having 25m left over is top buisness

(Provided its invested in other areas of the squad)

Poch loves to go mano a mano with players in training.

He talked about getting one on Davinson Sanchez straightaway.

I look forward to seeing a video of Poch versus Serge "I'm on Fire" Aurier in their first training ground clash.

I love Poch but my money's on Serge.... :)

It's a tough one. We know Poch generally takes both a RB and LB on the bench pretty much every game. With Rose out in the short to medium term, I wouldn't be against using KWP as LB backup. He performed well for England U20's there this summer.
That said, there seems to have been a change of approach from Poch this summer, whereby our talented young players are being given a chance to go on loan to add game time and experience to their game, a change from previous seasons where he liked to keep them around the squad. Suppose there comes a point where only match minutes will allow you to keep improving, you have been trained to get all the skills you can.

Interesting link in that he would fit the mold of backup plan to Barkley, he is Argentinian, he reportedly encouraged PSG to sign Foyth, and he gave up his number 10 shirt to Neymar. Weak t-leaves, but it's day before signing day so we are entitled to dream.

Pastore seems to have fallen down the pecking ordrer at PSG. A total of 18 matches last season. He's stagnated a bit after going to PSG and they have brought other players in his position and he's not been able to compete for a spot. Worth a shot to maybe revive his career because he's a great player
