Maybe Poch has realised there will be some games we can't magic our way through defences and need a big bastard up top to win long balls from the back.

Hope we have a backup plan when chelsea offer him 3 times the wages we do as i dont see this coming off for 1 second.

Why is everyone so down on this? I'd love him. Same attributes as Janssen so clearly something Pochettino wants in a backup/plan B, but has the confidence and experience Vincent is missing. If this came off and we could get Janssen a good loan I'd be delighted.

Essentially it boils down to who would you rather turn to off the bench - Llorente or Janssen?

If it's a case of obtaining Llorente for Janssen and making £10m then I can see the virtue in us doing so.

My opinion is that he's the absolute perfect signing for us. I genuinely can't see any negatives here.

Big bastard back-up striker with shitloads of experience and proven in the Premier League. Brings a completely different element to our attack if required.

We've had 31 corners in the first three games of the season! We earn as many free kicks in dangerous areas of the pitch as any club in the league. Llorente is one of the BEST aerial headers of the ball among strikers in the last decade of European football (8 headed goals last season). It isn't that complicated. You don't need two wingers on the touch line to get the best out of him. He's a complete footballer who can hold the ball up, link up play and strike the ball with both feet. Seriously, he's still a very good player. Would be a coup to steal him from Conte.

Makes no sense - we dont put in enough crosses - plus he is always injured

Always injured?

He broke his arm in a mountain bike crash (through his own stupidity but made up for it with loads of charity work in the swansea area)

He had a back injury as well but that was not his fault early last season.

Apart from that he's been mainly injury free throughout his career.

He's missed about 134 days of training and 15 games through injury during a duration of about 10 years +.

If we have the chance to sign a proven striker who scored 15 goals in the league last season and said striker is happy to come and play second fiddle to Kane for £15m... I'm not sure what's not to like? It's a 15 goal Llorente vs a 2 goal Janssen!

I'd love Vinny to succeed but I think it's painfully obvious Poch doesn't rate him, or he needs time on loan elsewhere to regain his confidence.
