As a player to sit on the bench as backup, a world cup winner can't be bad, he managed 15 goals last season for Swansea.

He is a class act. With consistent service he is a real goal threat. Plus remember that Harry has the versatility to be a number 10. He works channels and crosses and shoots. With Lorente in the middle as a real target man it does give us variety. Could really use an Aaron Lennon though. With Barkley as well this could be one hell of a window. Come on Mr. Levy.

Premier League proven backup with top-level international experience. He'll know he's not coming to be first choice, so that will be OK.

He's a good goalscorer, but even when he's not scoring, he's an absolute nuisance in the penalty box.

It's hard to imagine anyone better who could realistically fill our odd-shaped niche on the striker's bench.

Happy if true, but did the words come out of Balague's mouth, because he usually talks out of his arse?

Perfect bench sub with a proven goalscoring record. Smart move and I guess we needed to move late to avoid a battle with Chelsea

As always, take everything with a pinch of salt when it comes to Ballague. The man is not only a proven bullshitter over the course of more than a decade (he touted Fernando Torres as 'confirmed' signing for about fifty different clubs before he eventually moved from Atletico), he doesn't even have the saving grace of being the metaphorical blind squirrel occasionally finding a nut - he is literally ALWAYS wrong, to the extent that it's almost impressive. Ballague saying that Llorente is officially a Tottenham player is the firmest evidence yet that he'll end up at Chelsea.

Reckon we'll play him and Kane up top?

Think he'll be a fantastic plan getting on the end of crosses and his hold up play is excellent as well.

He is a great signing for us, even if he is just coming off the bench, if we are struggling in a game and need an aerial presence to either close the game out or net us a winner he is perfect for that role.

Also, like you say, would be great in a two up top as well, the more firepower the better and gives us another tactical option.

This window has turned out fantastic so far, the only negative is I wish all this could have been done before the first ball was kicked, hopefully they will make it so the transfer window in the future happens before the season starts.

We got him at last it's only taken 8 years since we were first "ABOUT" to sign him. Now watch Harrys form get even better.

While it leaves me flaccid I think its a sensible signing.

Does anyone know who the last min panic midfielder is when we don't get Gomes?

Good signing, I'd back him to score either from the bench or open play rather than Janssen!
