It's 17 incl Gomes and Lorente. Sanchez qualifies as under 21 so is a free pick. You don,t have to have 25 in the squad. A lot of clubs don,t

I do not agree this is the words from the Prem League website "An Home Grown Player means a player who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).

My view remains the same. Oh and a message to all the wankers that negged me put up a reason you spineless pieces of dog shite.

Assuming Gomes isn't happening either, at least we will have made money (about 15-20 mill this window) because that is most important thing. I guess they had to make up for the negative net spend last summer.

So Llorente it is then - like i said 10 hours ago.

Spursy & Lessons been learned - yup! We've been here way to often.

To be fair we could probably live we that - still dissapointed though.

You just named players who are all on 200k a week and are a hell of a lot more than a pacey attacker. Why not just sign messi. You are suggesting we sign world class players who have the ability to beat someone in a contested area which is what I suggested. They are not just pacey attackers.

Oh ffs, how did you interpret what i said to mean i think we should sign world class players like Messi? I'm not saying the player has to be as good as them, I'm saying we need to sign someone similar in style, obviously we cannot afford the finished article, but we need other options when we cannot find a way through a defence.

Yep.... he means Hale & Pace. Hale was the fatter of the two, and no doubt the slower. The fact he finishes off with FL announced yet means he is referring to Llorente and that is it.

Just a bit of info for you... Hale's first name was Gareth...... Gareth Hale...... Sound familiar?? haha

There was a smiley after the question about announcing FL....any chance he's hinting at a double announcement or am I just fooling myself??

I can't wait for us to succeed again without this pacey wing forward people keep going about. It looks like we finally have a 2nd striker who can score goals. Would have loved Barkley too but seeing as he's injured it doesn't matter too much. Great window overall.
I don't think people are saying we won't succeed or do well without a pacey wing forward but no team is complete and a place where we can improve the squad is certainly in this area

So we replaced Wimmer, Walker, Janssen with Sanchez, Aurier, Llorente. Good in terms of quality. But our squad depth is still, well... poor.

It seems to me that he is hinting at something other than Llorente signing but then I'm an idiot so what do I know.

Don't need pace cause it is already done ? but not announced because we are waiting to finalizing Hale (Llorente) to announce the duo ? optimistic...
