Could this be a plan to remain at Everton and endear himself once again with their supporters ??
Tomorrow's headline ....."I was going to go to Chelsea but then decided I wanted to stay an Everton player and came 'home'".
Whatever the reason he will struggle to get a first team place again when recovered from injury and his World Cup place will be under threat.It seems incredible that the transfer was allowed to progress this far before Ross decided to pull out.
Personally I would draw a line under this long, long saga and forget about him coming to Spurs.

was the medic a bit too hands on;
"Ross just pull your cheeks apart a bit more, now i'm going to insert the anal thermometer it may feel warm and fleshy but don't be alarmed, OR LOOK BACK! also I may have to put it in or out a few times to get a proper reading i will then inject a supplement..."

I would love this to happen but it really doesn't look likely now. Everton shareholder saying he is staying till January and will reconsider his situation then. Fee was £35m.

Their chairman on SSN now saying Barkley wants to wait until January. Hope we are still in the hunt!

Everton's majority stakeholder was a bit evasive on SSN exactly about what's happening, said he changed his mind about Chelsea and "technically" he'll still be an Everton player... Loan move with option to buy?
