Unprofessional to slag off your former employers. Annoyed that he's already speaking out of turn*

*I've not read article, have no idea of the context, or even the specific words he used and therefore am probably criticising him unfairly. I fear that whatever this guy says, it will form the basis of an article, now that journalists have formed a view of his character and will be looking for a negative story. He'll need to work very hard to keep his head down as everything will be willfully misinterpreted

He hardly made his unhappiness a secret whilst he was there.

Keep your head down and play football.

(y) Exactly what I thought.

We knew what we were getting. Hey may not be wrong, but I really don't like this type of stuff. Shut up and get on with it. You've not even kicked a ball yet. You show that you've changed through actions, not through talk. But hey, it's the modern game I guess.

Although it's not just PSG who under-valued him, if he was being touted for half the going rate for a full back in the UK and no one but us stumped up.

Can you imagine if this guy gets dropped for Trippier? o_O

Have you read what he's saying?

He doesn't talk about money, he talked about his footballing stats on the pitch and having a new challenge....then touched on outside issue being blown out of

He was being interviewed so why should he shut up? He was trying to put things in perspective imo.

Haha this reaction is so predictable

Yeah it's a bit melodramatic.

I have reservations lurking in the back of my mind that he may have issues which could be stirred up quite easily, but I don't see much of a problem with that interview.

He's basically saying they didn't offer him much in the way of support during his off the field problems. All players need this and the successful clubs recognise it.

Look at the way Fergie supported Ferdinand, Keane and Cantona in particular.

Yes good idea, persecute the man before reading the article. I really hope you are not working in law enforcement or in the justice system

What, so because someone asked him a question, he has to give an answer? Do we really credit players with that low a level of intelligence and self control?

He can do what he likes. I explained that I don't like that approach, and that's completely my prerogative to have that opinion. I don't like it in any footballers - other team's and ours. I don't think it does put things in perspective at all, I think it makes him look like he has a chip on his shoulder.
