Do people really think Poch is going to drop Dier for Sanchez?

I think he might. Dier supposedly has been nagging that he wants to play CM for ages so now I think he'll get his wish and be mainly a midfielder. He'll have to fight to get in ahead of Wanyama though

It is possible that with the Champions League game coming up that Poch might rest Dembele and start with Dier and Wanyama together.

Need to keep Dembele fresh for midweek. Let Alli play full 90 as he gets a rest midweek. Start new guys on the bench, probably not had a lot of time to settle in because of internationals.

Strongest team against Everton as we need 3 points. One game at a time, the CL will take care of itself. I know it seems to make sense but I hate this "rest players" tactic. We have been burned before doing it, and against Dortmund as well two seasons ago

Yes. We had two disappointing results before the international break, so a win at Everton could be the start of some momentum. We have a series of games that we should win before the very tricky Liverpool and Man U fixtures. 16 points after the opening 7 games would be a solid start to the season.

and hopefully the new boys would be ready to face those clubs by then.

Now that is a strong bench. This is what we have been missing. We need to be able to change things around during games and we haven't had the options on the bench to do it. I know some of these players will make the first team but we will still have options coming off the Bench and be able to rest players for cup games etc. I think this was the Poch plan for the window. I think he would have liked one more midfield option but it wasn't to be. Maybe January?
