Moussa Sissoko has told Tottenham fans he will be a “totally different” player this season after reaping the benefits of a full pre-season.

It's easy to mock, but the fact is that we need a big squad and Barkley is still an Everton player and despite being hero worshipped Lamela hasn't kicked a ball in almost a year.

Sissoko is never going to be a silky footballer, but if used more centrally like at the weekend we can get more out of him than just stick him out wide and expect him to beat players with skill.

If this also allows giving the likes of Dembele a breather every now and then all the better.

As long as he's a Spurs player, I'm getting right behind him. Soldado was the same but look at the support he got from the fans. Why not this guy??

I truely believe that if the fans get behind him rather than on top of him, he could of do something good for the club

The interesting thing is that Mo Po and the coaching team seem to agree. If he's good enough for them, he's good enough for me.

good to hear.

despite his poor finishing he was a major thorn for everton with his movement and pacey runs from the central position

I was thinking that myself - he didn't get a pre-season last year, being a 'last minute/panic buy' (well I thought so). If Saturday's game was to go by, then he might be right, too.

If he can show 1/2 of what he's shown himself capable of in the French setup, there will be plenty of egg on plenty of faces

(not from this thread. From the past years mocking ...)

I'd much prefer to see Winks getting the chances in CM. There are lots of games this year though so hopefully we can keep everyone happy.

Totally agree. Nobody knows a player's commitment apart from Poch and his management team. As supporters, whatever our initial reaction, we have to trust what they know and see on a day to day basis.

He doesn't seem to be good enough to play in an advanced role. But in a wing-back system, he might well thrive centrally. He should've scored one or two at the weekend, so hopefully he'll keep that level up and we have another dependable option in a season where we hope to be playing twice a week until well after Christmas.

If he gets a goal his confidence will skyrocket. Could be a useful option in the middle this season.

Hey - what about a bit of credit ?

I thought the boy done well yesterday.

He is never going to be a baller but we saw a glimpse of what he can and should be bringing - well done lad
