No point in using Llorente for this match, IMO.

But that would mean, knowing Poch, Kane starting...

We've seen it before. Llorente all the way, get him some rhythm and let the team get used to his runs and style (or the few who start).

We haven't seen it before, though. We haven't seen any back up striker get any run.

But that's beside the point. Starting Llorente vs. Barnsley would be a complete waste in my opinion. Rather use somebody like Harrison.

No point in using Llorente for this match, IMO.

Poch say he isn't fully match fit yet, so this is the perfect opportunity to get him up to speed. Otherwise he's just going to be sitting on the bench for 10 mins here and there.
The alternative is Kane, and as much as he's likely to hit a hat-trick against the likes of Barnsley, it's more important he's kept fit for the weekend.

KWP will need to start left back and get used to playing there. Rose will be off and Ben needs a proper back up.
Aurier will play to get more match fitness.

Do you not think that if Rose goes which by all accours will most likely be next summer, we'd get a replacement in?

I'm not sure. Both Jan and KWP play left back for their national team so maybe thats enough cover.

I don't think poch will go as "weak" or young as some are expecting

Nor do I. He knows we need to win games at wembley.

I suspect a team like:

Vorm, aurier or kwp, sanchez, vertonghen, davies, winks, dembele, eriksen, alli, llorente

In light of the (disappointing) news re Edwards.

Vorm
Trippier Sanchez Foyth W.Peters
O.Boothe Winks
Nkoudou Dele Son
Llorente

Lloris Vertonghen Aurier Dembele Sissoko Eriksen Kane
4231 still has its place for us, especially at home v Weak opposition. 3 centre backs is overkill, as the game v Swansea proved.

Watch out for a player called Harvey Barnes. He's currently on loan from Leicester and he's a great young talent.

Got to watch lots of him last season at MK Dons and he was superb.

Not sure that the Swansea game proved anything about 3 at the back other than that it's a daft formation to play if you don't have the requisite wing-backs.

But I agree in a game like this we should be fine with 4-2-3-1.

I'd want Sissoko in CM. And Dembele saved for the Hammeroids at the weekend.

Vorm, Trippier, Foyth, Vertonghen, KWP, Dier, Winks, N'Koudou, Dele, Son, Llorente. 442.

Some big guns on the bench if needed and Oakley-Boothe to come on for Winks with half an 20-30 minutes left.

Only three players - Verts, Dier and Dele will start v West Ham.
