I couldn't believe MOTD showed all the "possible penalties" including the Sanchez block that was in no way a handball.
Yet failed to show Alli getting axed down which was the most clear cut penalty shout of the entire game.

Now there are only three possible reasons I can see for this tweet. Either
(a) he has an incredibly low opinion of his team's general ability to defend - which is fair enough
(b) drugs - drugs are bad, don't do 'em, kids.
(c) he bumped into this guy as he left the OS

Utterly predictable I'm afraid, I said it to the wife before they started that they'll end up making this look like West Ham were robbed.
Their main agenda with their highlights seems to be to tell whichever story they've decided they want to tell for that game, rather than try to reflect what actually happened.
There was a cringe-worthy moment in Guy Mowbray's commentary last night where in the aftermath of the third goal, he said "Well it should be plain sailing for Spurs from now until the end." Why would you even say that? Why are you trying to pass that off as something you've genuinely said and not something you've added afterwards to try and make yourself sound clever/dramatise the game?
Why they bother to add these kind of silly and extremely-obviously-added-post-game comments to the commentary track I have no idea. It's tiresome and patronising for viewers.

Not to mention that if you don't actually know the scores beforehand (albeit that's less and less common these days) it makes it extremely obvious what's coming.

Was getting weird vibes off this match. Wasn’t sure if it was just me being a spurs fan but the media seemed to really want West Ham to win this. They seemed actually disapointed that they didn’t.

Nah I grew up in the east end in the sixties went to Upton park with my mates if we was away would have never gone to watch Chelsea or arsenal , spurs have always had a big fan base in the east end. Imo arsenal always the main rival and then Chelsea especially of the pitch . I hate arsenal but despise Chelsea but maybe it's because I grew up amongst West ham fans I have a kind of respect . Anyway that's my take on it ,someone else may see it different

Don't forget this was the game last year where Rachel Riley and her little crew of Sky pricks admitted they were jumping around the studio celebrating when West Ham scored, despite none of them being West Ham supporters.
Right, because West Ham are such a lovely club, and everyone wants those nice guys at Chelsea to win the league at a canter, yeah? It was literally offensive to me when she admitted that and came out with the "legends" line.
The media should be praying on their knees for Spurs to be successful and win stuff given we're the only team competing at the top who actually don't pay obscene amounts of transfer fees or wages, who aren't owned by foreign criminals, who bring through young English players and actually give them a chance, who conduct ourselves with respect and maturity, and who play some of the best football in the country. They should be all over praising us as the absolute example for English clubs to follow.
And yet we're mocked, ridiculed, Sky spend every minute trying to sell our players, and everyone in the media seems to want us to lose every week. It's pure jealously because we've done things the right way that no other club has achieved and we're right on the verge of becoming something really special. It scares people and these people are also morons.
Honestly, football sucks and can literally go fuck itself. I was done with listening to any of them a long time ago.

The rivalry is what it is for different folk. No doubt the North London Derby is the best in London imo however between the two sets of supporters it's a healthy banter you never fill threaten physical.
Chelski and Wet Spam growing up was different. I personally felt a violent racial undertone and real hatred slightly less from Wet Spam, in a wired way with Wet Spam there was an appreciation of both clubs philosophy and style of football played between the two clubs.
I wonder how the dynamics are between Arsenal Chelsea West Ham. (address their correct names)

My partner spent a lot of her childhood in Essex, very close to the East End. She has two foster brothers. One supports Spurs (he's an active member here) and the other supports West Ham. So there you go...
That's the sort of post that would usually provoke me to compose a sarcastic, eye-rolling response about paranoid Spurs fans.
But most of what you wrote is actually true. Blimey.

I'm rarely that vociferous about Spurs, and don't believe the common paranoia that says we're singled out particularly in comparison to other clubs, but the general lack of respect in football from the professional media is infuriating, and realistically we should be one of the last clubs to be criticised, mocked or portrayed in a bad light.

Noticed this as well. And also thought it was added afterwards - in the way a soap opera trailer will hint at a twist. There was no real controversy. The goals were clear, the red was clear, the pattern of play was fairly straightforward but they had to create some drama somewhere. Sky were, apparently, the same, with their penalty claims and Pardew/Redknapp commenting afterwards but the feed shown around the world didn't focus on any of this stuff.

It was hard not to be involved in the usual biff with Chelsea fans in the 1970's and it was always leaning towards someone getting seriously hurt. I can remember a few close calls. We never had the Spurs and West Ham firms getting seriously aggro like that although there was the odd ugly encounter. Matches at the Boleyn were tense and although Spammers had their connections with the National Front and so on, it was Chelsea who were utterly mad bastards. There were times when the Yid Army was no match for the Headhunters who were mental but we could always manage the Inter City Firm. The relegation 'battle' in 1975 was a sweet moment for us especially when we sent the scum down.
Spammers haven't forgiven us for taking Martin Peters off them and giving them Greavsie in the twilight of his career. Plus Bobby Moore nearly left them for us and except for contractual issues he would have been a Spurs man in 1966. Spurs were always the glamour club in comparison and we have a nice record of beating them at their manor. They've always been the poor man in London terms of the 4 main sides until they won the lottery with the new stadium. The younger fans seem to have latched on to us as the arch enemy in the last decade or so. Don't know where that has come from.

Sky try to paint Redknapp as ex Spurs. But the nonce still seems so bitter about his dad getting sacked for looking for the England job while still being in charge for us.
I've cancelled my Sports package with them. I can stream it on to my tv through my phone now and I get BT for free with my internet package. Don't want to give them pricks another cent of my money while they can't even offer some balance views.

Martin Tyler annoys me with his obvious biased nature towards westham and negativity towards Spurs in these matches. It come to my attention all those years ago in our excellent 4-3 win at Upton Park when Staltieri got the winner. Every goal Spurs scored were met with very subdued commentary but when westham scored, he was screaming with excitement. The Staltieri winner got a " oooooooo noooooooo" out of his then commentating partner Andy Gray ( I believe it was ) ... it just so biased towards westham and even Saturdays game was the same: Westhams 2nd goal by that lanky streak of piss Kayote was almost as if they equalised he was that excited for them.
