The only reason I can think of is that Winks has not been 100 percent before this game, because there is no other reason why Sissoko should be on the pitch ahead of him.

Seriously is Winks the best we have got as Ericksen's back up, guy is poor
Why even type that?
He was brilliant last season - is one of the most highly rated young players in the country - had a horrific injury and is playing his first start of the season - give the guy a break and try to understand the game, especially after a long lay off. Geez.

What a shit ball from Son

Sissoko breaking on that counter to open up space is a classic example of why he's in the team, just totally took out two of their defenders.

Another half just like that one please. With all the injury/suspension issues we have right now I’d be more than pleased with a scrappy 1-0 win.

Weird comment. Winks plays a different position. He's not meant to be Eriksen's back up. That's Sissoko in this system(although you wouldn't know it)

He's been our best player bar Sanchez. The only one capable of retaining the ball and making forward angles.

Meh.

Not sure if it's the Europa league flavour but there's some dross performances out there tonight.

We are too slow in a break or build up, by the time we try and get the ball jnto the box they have almost all their men behind the ball!

Winks is playing well and done some nice passes.

I can't see us being that bad second half. Disappointed if we don't win by 3+

Terribly disjointed performance so far, maybe to be expected with the injuries but I still don't like this 5-3-2 system. Hopefully can step it up in the second half, but Lets just hope we get out of town with the three points...

Yes, at this stage it's just just about getting the result with no further injuries

Despite the lead this performance is a pretty standard away performance from us in Europe over past 5/6 seasons. Really need to step up the performances for our next two European away games

Do you not see the contradiction in what you just said?

Literally the whole point of having home and away games is that it's going to to be harder when you play away and easier at home

Especially in Europe when you can be travelling all over the continent and playing on shit pitches

We're winning and that's all that really matters in this game, even though the performance has been below par

Was that pass by Son, terrible ball, should of been one on one...we can't seem to fucking pass or cross tonight

Son is always poorer when he has time to think. Not having a good game tonight but then we’re not looking good generally.

Winks and Dier don’t seem to work together that well and lack pace although Winks has had some nice touches.

Sissoko and Son aren’t adding a lot of creativity and whilst Trippier is getting into some good positions, he’s on the wrong side and Aurier is doing a good Walker impression with his crossing.

But we’re winning with a shit load of injuries. That will do for me.

Midfield looks disjointed.

Several times balls have gone between Dier, Winks, and sometimes Sissoko where we should easily win the ball yet no one goes for it.

Seems like there's a big communication problem.
