Come on, he tried his best to miss didn't he...

Bollocks! He calculated the precise angle he had to deflect it off the defender's ankle to send the keeper the wrong way and pulled it off perfectly.

For a player like Sissoko, there is hardly more one could ask for, in selected to start or coming on as sub and delivered. Well done, really. Poch must be very satisfied.

Fair play to Sissoko, he got a 10 min cameo and looked lively, wanted the ball, and really wanted to get in the box to make things happen. He did 3 or 4 good things in a short time. Maybe, just maybe, he has a future with us and can offer something different as a squad player.

Was it Dembele who said it took him a year to understand Poch's methods? It worked for Dembele and it seems to be coming together a little bit for Sissoko.

I think Sissi had a humbling experience last year. His attitude and work rate has changed this season and it's clear for everyone to see.

I understand some still have reservations and so do I, but I have been really impressed with the way his has conducted himself so far this season.

I hope he keeps on improving and being a part of our ever evolving squad.

Well done to the lad for pulling things together instead of having a fat lip about the missed opportunities last season. He is justifying his place in our squad more and more each game.

I think that maybe...just maybe, it's intended to be tongue in cheek?
Its funny but I dont think it will do anything for Sissoko's confidence when its obviously pointing to him being a bit shit.

Its a bit like the 'he scores when he wants' chant to a player that rarely scores, like Jansen.

Like I said, its funny but its a bit small time club mentality.

Just like when fans sing that the team they support is the best team in the world...it's not real you know, it's just a fucking chant, it's not intended for anyone to take it so literally for God's sake :ROFLMAO:

Nice words and after his row with Noble, he is winning me round more and more.
Look - he is even crediting his goal to god, which is fair enough really as he certainly did not know where the ball was going...

Match fitness is key for him, that and playing at a more natural position. When he just stands on the wing he is useless, he is much better when he moves from central positions to the side. He will never be great at controlling the ball or finishing but he can be a useful squad member. I am completely fine with him playing instead of Dembele in most matches.
