This perfect pro reeled off all the teams he hates to a random over a round of golf? Sounds plausible

Utd or Spain if we don't match ambitions is exactly what you'd expect though

TBF, any human being with a moral compass pointing in even the general direction of the ethically sound would hate on Maureen and those teams. So...sounds legit to me :)

Think we need to work on his innate hate of United, though - maybe some 'Clockwork Orange' of their fans gloating and cheering outside OT after they hijacked on his way to City and forced us to sell him, after months of tapping him up and offering us a low-ball offer in order to incite him to force the move, would do the trick. Adn then a nice informal chat with Daniel Levy about just how much he hates them due to this and Ferguson's sarcastic comment, ridiculing him, after the FA had rejected our evidence of tapping up even though they were clearly bang to rights!

Thanks for passing on.

Levy will know that we will need to keep progressing in order to keep him and as Harry is the focal point of the entire club then Levy will do his utmost to make sure Kane is satisfied.

Dunno why people are worrying. If we stay in the same position for next few years plus the revenue from new stadium, no reason why we can't bump up.our salaries

Ah playing the old 'Fergie didn't win anything for five years' card, I see. Textbook ;)

Guilty Party: "But SP they know you are going to use the Fergie didn't win anything for five years defence!"

SP: "They know I'm going to use the Fergie didn't win anything for five years defence and I'm still going to use the Fergie didn't win anything for five years defence...and that's the surprise!"

Fans of the film Little Big Man, 1970, should get the joke :)

It must be must it?! What makes it even better is every season they write us off and say we will return to 6th 7th etc. I watched and read numerous preseason predictions stating that "Spurs will finish 6th cause they haven't improved and have got Wembley" yet completely overlooking their own many many weaknesses and the problems on the horizon. Some are coming round to the realisation now but many others haven't and they are in complete denial. We aren't going anywhere.

What people not realised yet is our revenues are going to be huge.

We have already caught Arse, pool in the Nike, AIA deals and we are playing in front of huge gates. The Bournemouth will be min 75k and Pool and RM nigh on 90k _ this is not at West Ham prices but full on London prices.

The stadium is already looking amazing and a proper football venue - it will be the venue in London - And somewhere like Anfield is a wooden shack in comparison.

Add in NFL and other non sporting rights and the sponsorships become even bigger.

Truly exciting times

Your entitled to your opinion, and I don't blame you for having one, so no hard feelings at all there, it's my choice to pass on what I was told, and if the shoe was on the other foot Id perhaps have questions of my own, whether or not I bothered to post about them so directly. Part of the reason I initially decided not to post about it, but then again why not share it since I have enjoyed so many other people sharing info here across the years.

The friend in question is one of my closest friends and wouldn't lie. He's not even particularly a football fan, more into his golf and his US sports which he picked up from when he was on a golf scholarship at a US college. Bear in mind, the person in question spent a good 4 hours at least with Kane and was having all kinds of discussions and freedom/time to ask questions in a private environment. This was from around early August. I'm sure if you look at my poster name and do relevant google searches you'd find where and when it happened.

Anyways, there's nothing left to say. Let's just keep doing what we need to do.

It's a nice dream, but when competing with clubs that have a bottomless pit of cash the wages will just keep going up enough to keep us out of reach.

We're definitely secured as one of the top clubs though. Considering what we were like in the 90s, this is a huge leap for us.

It’s not a dream.

City could collapse overnight or the owners could change direction.

We are already seeing Chelsea run more economical these days.

Or the governing bodies could get real about Fair Play and give it teeth. Any number of things could happen. We are built up organically and they aren't. And we are seriously troubling them before we get any of the financial baubles our new stadium will give us! we don't have to buy a team to begin with - Chelsea and City did. We already have the team, the new stadium will allow us to approach parity with our (currently) wealthier rivals. We don't need absolute parity - if we are producing players and they are invested in the club, like Harry Kane and young Harry Winks are, like Lloris is invested in the Poch project, we just have to approach parity, Strongly doubt that invested players are going to suddenly get major league disaffected because a couple of soulless oil clubs will always be able to pay thruppence more.

What's more, we don't have to win every single trophy for it to be a successful period/- just be good enough to pick up a slice of the trophy cake.

Never. Going. To. Happen.
FFP was introduced with the consent / participation of the then 'big clubs' in order to maintain the status quo. Which is why PSG - which is trying to gate-crash the party by over-spending - is apparently being investigated but none of the original cartel members are or will be.

It is a huge leap for us, and we're doing great! Good thing is, we're building on solid ground. Political changes outside football can financially fuck up Chelsea and City at any future point. The "bottomless pit of cash" is not sustainable, and we'll see that at some future point. It's just a matter of time, and all castles built on sand go that way eventually.

None of us can predict the future, but I'd love to see the end of season league table standings in the next few years. Think we'll be up there with Utd, the Arse and Liverpool, but wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Chels and City were nowhere in the running two or three years from now.

Abramovich and the Qataris poured billions into the game, and that money can be sucked out as quick as it came in. Chelsea are better placed than City to deal with it, 'cause they've established a new fanbase built on a longer recent history of success. Still, it's a fanbase that's young, fickle, and one that will easily shift allegiance if their team is failing.

IMO we absolutely have to keep Pochettino to stand a chance of competing in the next 5 or so years.

It may all be lovely off the pitch but we need to always remember how easy it is to lose your identity on the playing side, and how hard it is to then redevelop one.

I mean, shit, it wasn't that long ago we had Sherwood and we're being embarrassed by Chelsea, City etc.

Poch is the reason our ambitions kicked on beyond a hopeful top 4 challenge. He's transformed everything about us, and he's had a much bigger impact than any new stadium could ever have.

He is the reason behind previously unfancied players turning into top level performers. Some, in the case of Kane, World Class. He can even make average players look pretty decent.

He's incredible, and we need him to stay with us for the long term.

Agree....Sheik Mansour is loaded. As long as he is engaged with the club and oil doesn't go to $10 or something he will just keep raising the bar if he has to to secure the players he wants. Guardiola is the ultimate cheque book manager at the ultimate cheque book club

We will struggle to compete on a level playing field event post new stadium. Doesn't mean we can have success but have to be realistic it will mean overcoming odds stacked against us

Someone should take a metric ton's worth of redcafe screenshots signalling what United fans thought of him then tweet them to him. Oh and the obligatory YT's of Maureen being a twat.

I love Poch too, and agree completely that he's been absolutely pivotal in turning around our fortunes. I don't know about the long term in this game anymore though. The Fergie/Wenger dynasties don't seem to exist in the modern game...I mean look at Wenger and Arse these days!

I'd love Poch to be our Fergie! He's lived up to that and more, given where we were, since he's been coach. When you talk about "the next 5 or so years" well, anything can happen! Poch especially, but Levy also, and the players more than anyone, have put us in a position in which we're overperforming in the context of the financial advantage of our rivals.

Poch's incredible, feeds the strengths of everyone around him, develops players from youth to first teamers, and keeps their focus on the team game. He, and the team develop from game to game, get better all the time, individually and as a team!

I'm with you! I hope he stays for the next five years, but if he doesn't, he would have done more than anyone to put us in a great position for the future.

Give it a rest. They won the league. This conspiracy theory shite is just that shite.
Some people find it easier to believe something sketchy went on than just accept the fact they were better than everyone else that year....it's quite odd.

Look at this jealous deluded bitter gooner fuck on the Arsenal mania website. Still you get these jealous idiots who can't admit that Harry Kane is world class and is more than just a goal scorer. He no doubt is one of the best players in the league you mug!!! " His ability is exaggerated" ... what a buffoon!!!!

What about that one?
Good goal, but he still isn't the best player in the league. Kane is a very good goal scorer, but that's all he is to me. He's like a Shearer or Lineker. A very good finisher in and around the box who will constantly put up high numbers. But I'm not going to cream over him like he is Henry. His ability is exaggerated beyond belief.

Some people find it easier to believe something sketchy went on than just accept the fact they were better than everyone else that year....it's quite odd.

It was odd how they were destined to be relegated then suddenly started winning almost every game.

It was odd watching Pearson becoming increasingly shifty in interviews around that time, then mysteriously sacked.

It was odd how a mediocre player like Vardy suddenly had a dramatic jump in form. Accompanied by his suspicious plaster cast.

It was odd how they looked significantly fitter than every other team, up until stricter substance checks were introduced.

It was odd how many of their opponents openly stated that they wanted Leicester to win the league, before going on to lose to them.

It was odd how their players recovered from injuries that would normally take weeks instead of days to come back from.

It was odd how as soon as they won the title they went straight back to being mediocre also-rans.

Whether something sketchy was going on or not, plenty of people were drawing attention to the unusual things happening long before they won the title. I don't think people finding it all a bit questionable is odd at all.
