Bert Bliss scored 104 (I've just checked last season's official club handbook), and Glenn Hoddle scored 110, not 112 (same source). The next player in Kane's sights is Jimmy Dimmock (112 goals).
Your right on Hoddle. Today Kane matched Hoddle's record. My eyes deceived me.

My source has Bliss on 106 though, but I guess dependencies from 1920s football is pretty normal.

Btw Everton are pretty rubbish.

You're right about Everton. Although I'm not an Evertonian, I've felt for a long time that they're a classy organisation, unlike some I could mention (yes, they have some dickheaad fans, but so does any other club, including Spurs, I hate to have to say). As a neutral, I don't take any pleasure from seeing one of England's finest clubs struggle on the park.

Koeman must be creaking a bit. Lose at home to Burnley & they just don't look like scoring. They are an ambitious Club, how long til they snap & get rid?

I get where you're coming from but they've always struck me as a tolerant Club, they gave him a lot of money to spend so I guess they'll give him some time, but he does seem haunted at the moment.

If they really think they can get Ancelotti then Koeman might be gone tomorrow. If they don't think it's possible he'll probably get a couple more months.

I reckon you may be right and their tough start buys him a bit more time. Couple more bad results could do it though.

They were showing "ambition".

They were spending the Lukaku and Barkley cash, that they expected to be incoming before the window closed. nothing more than what Liverpool or ourselves did when Bale and Suarez were sold. In the same way I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of their Summer incomings didn't eventually work out for them given time. I don't think it will be Ronnie that see's the benefit from that though personally. This is the third occasion now in recent times we have seen this exact same strategy backfire. Sell your best players and replace with a number of inferior ones, does not equate to ambition, it basically has the opposite effect and will probably cost the manager his job.

They were a tolerant club when Kenwright was in full control of the purse strings, that is no longer the case.

I knew they were going to struggle to replace Lukaku's goals (see posts earlier in the thread), but I didn't know they were going to do this badly

They've gone from 'struggling to get into the top 6', to struggling to stay in the Premier League lol

I don't think they'll get relegated, but I think they'll finish in the bottom half if they don't sign a goal scorer in January

Bet he gets off with not doing it. Or if he does it won't be something in public.

Would be funny if I’m driving along and spot him in one of them bright jackets picking rubbish up along the road or painting a wall lol.

I agree

I actually want the likes of Everton, Southampton, Watford, Palace (they were looking pretty decent at one point) etc, to kick on and challenge the top 6

No one seems to have stepped up to the plate though. In many ways, I think that's one of the major reasons the likes of Klopp and Wenger are still in their respective jobs lol

...and thinking to himself, 'So this is what life would be like if I wasn't good at football. Wow, I'm really lucky!!'

Joey Barton on Talkshite this morning said Koeman has spent over £200 million on players in 15 months & still hasn't signed a decent striker or centre half. Can't disagree with him on that score. That's a lot of money spent there & I can't think of a single player there (bar Ross Barklay) that I'd have in our squad (maybe Pickford at a push but he would'nt get many games barring injury to Hugo)

Plus the amount of Toffees who were claiming that Keane was better than Toby and Jan when first signed
