If they keep playing the same way, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more Slovenian players getting booked in the second half.

If he doesn’t get on in the second half Southgate needs his bollocks chopping off!

Southgate is a terrible manager and showcasing that quite fabulously tonight.

Not helped by the players he picked but he did pick them. Henderson, Sterling and chamberlain must have 1 footballing brain cell between them and that's being kind.

What a sorry half of football that was. The team is doing about as well as expected, when you've picked three raw direct wide forwards (and only one of them looks any good) and there is still an absence of any creative type in the final third. Then there are neat and tidy, but ultimately pretty 'nothing' players like Bertrand.

But special award has to go to Jordan Headlesschicken. I am actually feeling sympathy for Liverpool fans having to watch this every single week. Someone has to tell him that running around as much as possible and playing as quickly as possible doesn't make you play better - it just makes you look worse. His one or two good moments are the anomaly to 10/20/30 moments where its just boot and rush nonsense.

I don't know why I even bother to watch England, and I certainly don't understand why anyone would actually pay money to go and watch them.

Awful team, even worse football.

Boring unwatchable garbage. Rashford & Sterling aren’t the problem. It’s the lack of any kind of playmaker in the side.

2004? I thought England really could win that one.

Tripe since then of course.
You guys rating this optimistic, but we had the emerging Rooney who was class in the group games, a fantastic back four almost regardless who of our five top class CB's played, a Beckham in top, top form, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard and an Owen who still knew where the goal was and wasn't an injury-hit wreck. I really think that team could've won. Greece managed it FFS, it wasn't that high quality.

We need someone to make chances. They could try Kane in the number ten role and bring on another striker.

Don't know what you guys are talking about. I'm still buzzing after that half......granted I've been smoking crack, but still :woot:.

It's like watching Spurs without Dele, Eriksen, Son, Dembele, Vertonghen, Aldeweireld, Rose, Aurier, Sanchez and Winks.

The pitch is a tad shabby out near the touchlines both sides, I thought me telly had a couple of dodgy stripes.
