That Ireland game was absolute muck. Sorry I went now. Didn't get home until 11.45 either.
Walking back towards town everyone was saying how well we played. Well I tell you what I was in the end we were attacking 2nd half. We had one half chance that the keeper had to save. One. We didn't play well. We were ok first half and again had some half chances. Our set pieces were awful.
As soon as they went down to 10 men we started attacking narrow and lumping balls up towards Murphy and Walters. Nonsense.
We might not have the most talented players but it's down to the manager to sort out tactically how we will play and It looked like we had no game plan last night. Look at Northern Ireland. They have less of a pool to choose from than we do but they play with a bit of style at structure. They play with fight and they have a game plan.
Very disappointing. We don't deserve to qualify on the back of our last 2 performances.
By they way, Matic is an absolute beast of a footballer. Didn't see him lose the ball once last night. Gets through a serious amount of leg work across the middle of the pitch as well.

Norway's Mohamed Elyounoussi (plays for Basel) scored a beaut of a free kick against the mighty San Marino. 4-0 after 40 mins. Norway were hammered 6-0 by Germany last month so a bit of a point to prove. Don't think Northern Ireland will have it as easy on Sunday as they did at home in the autumn.

Is it wrong that I'm rooting for us to go down in flames and not qualify over the next few days? Bruce Arena isn't the problem he's just a symptom of it. I want Gulati and all his MLS cronies thrown out on their asses and us losing may be the only way that's ever going to happen. Don't know that I'm rooting for us to go down in flames but I agree with the Arena, Gulati, MLS portion(to an extent, I still think Arena is garbage and a big part of the problem). I just can't see the US not qualifying even with a dinosaur like Arena and his shitty ass roster...
