Iceland have Kosovo at home in the final game. They're going to do it again. Incredible few years.

Three draws and a loss in their last four. 16 goals in 17 qualifiers. Something's gone very wrong there.

Messi, Dybala, Aguero, Higuain (not even in the squad), Di Maria, Icardi. That talent shouldn't get those results.
Only 2 of those played last night, messi and dimaria. And DiMaria was subbed at half. Have no idea what Sampaoli was doing here. I only saw the 2nd half but chances were created and wasted.

Croatia were leading their group but have slipped up at home to Finland (and Iceland won in Turkey) meaning they'll have to go to Kiev hoping for a draw that lands them a playoff spot. A win for Ukraine would mean they take that spot instead

Should be an interesting game :coffee:

Really hope they don't try to get Pochettino in to rebuild them if they don't qualify

From the table......seems like B&H v Belgium is gonna be key if B&H lose that should make them the worst 2nd place team I think.

No reason for Belgium to let off the gas even thou they are through... Should be a good match.

Croatia fired their coach again right before the end of a qualifying campaingn. Their FA makes some really weird decisions sometimes.

Any chance Bilic might be tempted to go back there?

EDIT: Apparently Modric called the situation a "disaster" and refused to back the manager in public. Sounds similar to the way Niko Kovac got fired in the last campaign after they put on a pathetic display away at Norway. The players clearly wanted this to happen.

Sampaoli is a good manager. He only came in 2 games ago, on the heels of the Messi retirement, so no real time to implement any tactical plan. Don't know if you watched his Sevilla team but they played some good stuff. I would hope that Poch is too wise to jump into the morass that is Argentinean football at this time. Plus, Poch is still very young and learning his craft whereas Sampaoli is like 15 years older. We should be safe...I hope. :nailbiting:

Ok, so I coached kids football club this morning, I've cut the lawn, walked and washed the dog, cleaned bathroom, even got the washing in when it started raining.... and now I'm so bored I could cry. How long until we ko now?
I fkin hate these international breaks.
This keeps up I'll have to talk to the wife o_O

Belgian boys doing Wales, the Irelands and Scotland a good favour by racing into the lead v Bosnia. Bosnia currently the worst ranked second placed team.

That pitch is unacceptable for international play...especially when our boys have to play on it.
