FIFA rankings are shit but they aren’t seeded based on their FIFA ranking. They’re ranked based on their point total and goal differential through qualifying. It’s actually a much worse system. Teams with easy qualifying groups get rewarded twice with easy draws.
He does know I think - it was widely reported that N. Ireland lost their chance at being seeded by losing to Norway, which means they're going to fall below Denmark next month.
