Winks is a good player with huge potential, but he also has a lot to learn. I thought that he had a poor game against Bournemouth and it showed what he needs to work on to become a regular starter. It became a bit too safe and slow with Winks, Dier, Toby and Sanchez and Poch had to change formation to get Eriksen deeper to up the tempo. Winks was a bit invisible in the second half and we looked a lot better.

I would like to see Winks learn from Eriksen(and a bit from Sissoko :)). I think that Winks can learn to dictacte the tempo luch better and add vertical movement and passing to his game. That run from deep from Eriksen when he scored is exactly those kind of runs Winks need to add to his game. It’s very difficult to open up teams that park the bus with two modfielders that aren’t a threat at all. It’s a good opportunity to get forward when Eriksen comes deep and it opens up some faster one touch/one-two passing.

Winks can definitely be a regular starter if he can develop his offensive game.

Just shows how we see things differently. Obviously he has a lot to learn and he is in the right place to achieve his aspirations. As I posted previously he was my MOM on Saturday based on overall play (although Hugo's save was match winning). A view held by a number of the supporters around me. If our views were all the same (or spent all our time trawling the internet to find some facts to support our views) how boring life would be.

Can we quit it with the Henderson chat in here, it's making my eyes bleed, in the same way watching him play football does.

Thank you kindly.

Hope Zinedane tells Modric to study Winks.
To be fair I don't think Winks is too far away from where Modric was when he first joined us. Of course Modric improved a lot during his time with us, but when you consider Modric was a couple of years older than Winks is now when he joined, I think that's a real reason to have a lot of optimism for the future of young Harry.

Absolutely. I am a huge believer in Winks. I think he will become incredibly good.

Not a bad month for the young man. Hope he has the nerve for it.

theres probably not a tougher club game you can play than Real Madrid away and this kid from our academy looked so comfortable

He became a real player tonight. He played with no fear against probably the best midfield in world football. Fantastic to see, so proud of him.

Was poor at the weekend, obviously saving himself for tonight.

Wasn't far off modric's performance tonight. Amazing,

Come on Gareth build the England side around him and our lads. Top quality, full of potential.

Plays like a mix of Modric and Kovacic, fantastic young player and he always surprises me with how fast he actually is. Loved his little slalom run, shame he lost the ball in the end.

A player he really reminds me of is...erm...ahh...how do I say this...

Jack Wilshere

Similar stature, with a low centre of gravity; turns, runs and passes the ball very similarly; looks natural in that deep-lying offensive position that Modric so excels at.

Let's hope Harry progresses more like the latter than the former.
