Aurier getting booked...has to be replaced. Set pieces is what I think we need, Real look more than dodgy defending them.

We're already well on our way to doing ourselves justice in this game. Watching Modric run Eriksen ragged is a bit demoralising though.

Half time round-up:

Aurier with the most Aurier performance ever - insanely talented, total brainfart/reckless moment.

Winks looking brilliant on the world's biggest stage.

We've given them very little in the wide areas but we need to shut off the area up to ten yards outside the box more, too many balls coming in from the diagonal.

Their much-vaunted midfield may be brilliant on the ball, but they disappear in a puff of smoke without it. As a result, their defence is horribly exposed.

We should've scored more/created more chances - we've thrown away two or three very good chances, especially on the counter.

I like Llorente but I think Son would've been a much better option for this game - we've got loads of space and they're vulnerable to pace, especially on the counter. I think Poch thought they would be more dominant on the ball and defensively.

Madrid is the worst club in the world apart from Chelsea and their fans are a literal joke, they are actually embarrassing to watch.

Eriksen has disappointed so far but generally impressed with us. We can get a few more goals and really get at them

Apart from giving away the penalty, Aurier been good.

All playing their role, except for Eriksen. Llorente been isolated upfront.

Really impressed by Winks though. Has been one of the few that has been able to keep possession.

lol even I laughed at how bizzare that statement was, we have been tactically perfect and were 1-0 up, one silly mistake is the only reason Real are back in this.

Can't please some people, if we would have come out gung ho and been 5-0 down by now they would be complaining as well.
And should have been 2-0 with a penalty, nailed on but not at their place.
Not agreeing with the Eriksen views, he's playing deeper and contributing well even yhough he's out of his usual role..

It’s taken a penalty for them to score in the first 45. I call that a successful half. In all honesty I went into tonight just wanting a goal and it came to put us in front.

Huge space left by them for the counter, perfect for Rose and Son, no?

This is when you'd like a pacy, dribbling forward to run at their defence when we catch them on the break. A serious tactical option that would have given us and a mistake not signing a player like that.

Some of you are fucking idiots. Aurier has been superb. Kroos was in the 6 yard box and about to pull the trigger. Aurier's tackle at least gave loris a chance to save it.

Eriksen is struggling to get into the game however he is up against Modric and Kroos!! Arguably the best midfielders in the world.
