Stolen from twitter:

Passing accuracy full-time update:

Luka Modric: 87.7%
Harry Winks 90.9%

Luka frightened the shit out of me every time he had the ball, great player

taking nothing away from Winks but he was very, very good

He set up the Kane and Ericksen chances

I agree on all but Llorente he served up to great chances if converted would of won us the game. He is what he is a good outlet, you can't expect everything from him, if we had of played Son from the start I honestly believe we would have been beat.

That he did, and I don't think he was the wrong choice, I just think that it came at a trade off. I think his deployment worked and was happy with him, just pointing out what he didn't bring too. Invariably there will always be a trade off when a striker isn't called Harry Kane.

Saw most of the 2nd half. what a mature performance and a different set up than normal. we played 532 for most of the game then when he took off llorente it looked like a 5311 with rose LCM.

stand outs from what I saw were lloris, sanchez, vert, sissoko and winks.

great result .

Sissoko was amazing. Aurier was great bar the penalty. Llorente had a touch of Sheringham/Gudjohnsen about him

Gonna have to disagree with that, it looked to me like if Aurier hadn't slid in he would have buried it (even if Toby was closing in). Thought Aurier was superb other than that

What are you disagreeing with?

Talking my Tottenham tinted glasses off I think a draw was a fair result. Couple of good saves from Lloris in that game. That said I thought we were fantastic. Poch got the formation and tactics spot on. I was a bit concerned at that lineup but again shows what the fuck do I know!

Winks was so calm in the middle and looked to get it forward. RM did seem to mark Eriksen more than him but still the young lad was fantastic. As was Sanchez. He just seems to quietly get the job done. No drama and plays with a maturity beyond his young years.
I’ve been a massive critic of Sissoko but he was very good tonight. His first touch which can be shocking was great. That flick over his shoulder from the ball behind him was fantastic. Poch really seems to have turned him around.
Everyone else was also outstanding. Yeah Aurier made a rash tackle but Walker had those in his locker when he was younger. Thought he was good going forward. 9/10 for everyone. Im feeling generous so even Eriksen who didn’t have one of his best games.

Lloris, 8
Jan 8 Doesn't love LB but can do a decent job.
Toby 8
DS 8
Serge 7.5 real synergy with Sissoko but the odd brain fart
Winks 8.5 grew and grew as the game went on and moved the ball with pace.
Dier, 7.5 didn't really notice him in Midfield, more contribution when moved back
Eriksen, 6 weakest Spur on the night, looked lacking in belief.
Llroente, 8 really put himself about and linked up nicely when he got hold of the ball
Kane, 7.5 some good Kane some meh Kane.
Sissoko, 8 nice link up with Serge, got back into position and covered when Serge bombed forward, gets the award for Most improved player (coming from quite a low start point though :p)
Rose, looked like he was on a merry-go-round when he came on as he didn't know where he was, but contributed and helped cover Jan 6.5
Son, got forward and had some impact. 6.5

My heart is still pounding. Tonight we saw this side, and our manager, evolve. This was as mature as I've seen us, we showed that we have a plan to deal with a team who have literally everything in their armoury.

Lloris was man of the match. There were some good performances out there but he made all the saves he was meant to make and one save which he had no right to make.

Aurier had a mad moment for the penalty, which was still harsh, but otherwise this was his best Spurs game, great driving runs, had Marcelo in his pocket and linked well with those in front of him.

Sanchez was manful, also his best game for us, don't think C.Ronaldo beat him once and and was unruffled even when we were under immense pressure.

Dier was magnificent, he was great at choosing when to sit with the other centre backs and when to push up onto their midfield, he made great tackles and interceptions and he won everything in the air.

Alderweireld looked as good as he has this season, some great blocks, knowing when to cover Vertonghen and when to drop more centrally, passed out well.

Vertonghen, apart from the face clutching which I dislike, was very good. He lacks pace but was never exposed for it, kept his position well and showed composure a number of times to relieve pressure.

Sissoko marauded forward well several times, linked well with Aurier, and worked tirelessly. A big part of ensuring our defence we're never overwhelmed and was clever in choosing which spaces to attack when he had the opportunity.

Winks was fantastic, tonight he showed that he's good enough in my opinion. Not at all daunted by the occasion, intelligent and varied use of the ball, one or two runs which put Madrid on the back foot too. Was him that started the move for our goal too.

Eriksen was off tonight, no covering that. Great overall awareness and movement as always so he wasn't a passenger, but his passing was off at a couple of key moments, he made the wrong choice with a great chance and he lacked that ruthlessness and zip which makes him special.

Kane worked his heart out and battered away at their defence, he constantly ran the channels, he moved well but he had our two best chances and on another night would have had two goals.

Llorente was okay as an outlet, he helped relieve pressure with nice cushioned headers and chests, but other attacks fell apart around him because he lacked the nimbleness to use the space as best as possible. Should've gone with his left too.

Rose came on and helped keep shape but had limited opportunity to do anything.

Son gave the ball away unnecessarily once.
Llorente created our 2 best chances I don't think we'd have been able to get a point without him, we'd have no out ball with Kane getting man marked.

Many great performances but I feel Poch gambled and we got so lucky, I know both keepers produced the goods but I don’t like relying on t.

We didn’t play as Tottenham and it hurt me a bit. The game so Newrly did and didn’t pay off. Hope rose and moose are back so we can play our way

Think the only thing we did wrong really was we looked a bit fearful for the first 15 and gave them too much respect, as we grew into the game we played much better (with the exception of Eriksen who didn't really recover from his poor start)

I think we surrendered the middle. Which meant when we were flat five at the back they could pick the pass. It worked obviously. But it scared me and think we ran our luck

To go in against Kroos and Modric as the only work horse midfield, Winks was superb. Not easy to play against.

I'm often quick to criticise Hugo for his mistakes, but tonight he was incredible. MOTM for me.

I thought Sissoko was excellent, he's a really important member of the squad now.

Winks was brilliant too, he just needs to study Modric cos that's the kind of player he can become. Those 3 stood out for me but i thought everyone was very good bar Kane and Eriksen who were a little off.

Team - 9

Lloris 9 - MOTM 2 of the best saves I’ve seen

Aurier - 6 - would’ve been an 8 not for the pen
3xCB’s - 8 - did brilliantly
Jan - 7 did well out of position

Winks -8.5 - outstanding from him
Sissoko -8.5 best performance in a spurs shirt
Eriksen -6- hard game for him as not many options to hit going forwards

Llorente - 6.5 - did a good job
Kane 6.5 also did a good job, unlucky with navas save

Poch -9 tactics and performance spot on, proud of the boys.
