And it was NEVER a penalty. Any ref with any bollocks wouldn't have given that. There was no contact until Kroos fell onto Aurier's legs, fucking atrocious decision!!

Depends on the camera angle

At first I thought that was never a penalty, but then I saw the 'head on' camera angle and Aurier clearly comes across Kroos and impedes his run, despite the fact that he may have lost control of the ball at that stage (difficult to tell because the whole thing happened so quickly)

Kroos went down easily, but which player in the CL wouldn't? If that had been Kane Vs Marcelo, I think we'd all be saying 'tight decision, but you win some and lose some'.

That game and result will have done Dele the world of good.

Watching the performance will hit home how he has to start to mature to ensure he doesn't miss more occasions like last night.

A fantastic night last night.

However, I must confess that with 5 minutes to go, I turned to Mrs Shepspurs and said that this would be so much easier to watch if we were losing 4-0. COYS

No contact no foul no penalty it really isn't that complex

Where as the foul on llorente was a nailed on pen because contact equals foul equals penalty.
Why our own fans turn into arsene Wenger against us baffles the shit out of me is it something like...
I'm a spurs fan yaa but I'm also a football expert you see and were I'm so much of a expert I can see things in football that you mere mortals can not yaa for sure it's because I'm so much better at this analysing thing than you as I'm a fucking dustman for a living there fore my opinion should be better accepted.

aAaaaAaaarghh just stop it for fucks sake it wasn't a feckin pen because he didn't touch the cheating diving **** it really is that simple. :cautious:

Not correct. It's the intention and not the consequence of the challenge that determines the verdict.

Well, the intention was quite pure, in reality. He intended to hit the ball, and after failing that his foot sort of brushed up against Kroos' leg in a semi-homoerotic, not malicious, way.

I'm not even certain that much contact was made after watching it umpteen times only one angle makes it look possible that contact happened and from that angle it's impossible to interpret as contact so in short
The ref shat himself and gave it on zero evidence bar kroos fell down.
Maybe he was frightened the hankies would come out ?

If I go out with the intention of punching somebody but do not ,do I still get knicked ?
He obviously had no intention of fouling kroos because that would make him a spoon of the highest order

I think there was enough contact for it to be a pen. In any case Aurier was so stupid to make that challenge and when you go to ground like that and dont cleanly get the ball you're asking for a pen. It was a lack of discipline by the player. He needs to cut that out if he is to fulfill is undoubtedly massive potential.

Aurier had a good game but he makes rash decisions and cost us a goal tonight let's not forget.
Trippier may or may not have been skinned tonight but you can't knock him when he didn't even play
You do know he played an integral part for our goal, don't you? Anyway if Kroos had scored because Serge had not made that "rash decision" he would have been ridiculed by you. Yes Trippier didn't play and thank fuck for that.

I agree with this. However I do believe it's a challenge Aurier had to make, and he had committed himself before the ball was loose.

One of those things. Had Kroos not had that heavy touch and went in to score we'd all be complaining that Aurier didn't make a last-ditch challenge.

It's not even worth debating really.
Exactly!

Toby probably would of had it, Kroos had a lot to do before scoring, not sure it was necessary, should of stayed on his feet and tried to get in front of him, not lung in from an impossible angle. Aurier had a great game, but it was a poor decision and he clearly has problems with remaining disciplined. His red card the other day another example of rashness that can hurt a team.

If you try to hit someone, but miss, that would probably happen.

He obviously tried to get the ball, but like every other challenge, if you don't get the ball, it's a foul. That's a risk you take when you go to ground. Had he not been going for the ball at all, he'd be sent off in that situation.

He's not right as he has no idea what Kane's intentions are, he was speaking from his perspective and what he would do but not every player is the same.

You are correct but he is entitled to his non Spurs fan opinion. Lineker was asking questions which required an opinion and he is paid to answer them.
