He was very good but the one thing I'd like to see is for him to use his left foot a bit more. You watch modric and he is more than willing and capable of playing an accurate long pass on both feet whilst under immediate pressure. Would like to see winks develop something similar because i feel as though teams will begin to cut off his passing lanes. Imagine him receiving it and flicking it wide to either fullback with one touch. It's the dream.
Modric rarely uses his left foot mate. Whenever he needs to make a pass that requires his left foot he will use the outer part of his right foot to good effect.

Henderson shouldn't even be a Premier League footballer. The bloke is practically stealing a living. Baffles me.
He's got the job because he's got enough attitude to make captain at a shit Sunderland side at an early age and that led to Liverpool thinking he was actually a bit good when he is in fact nowhere near the standard required for a side that wants major honours.

The most baffling thing is that Pool made him captain as well. No idea how that happened.

Bulked up in the summer, no doubt about it.
Used his time away from the field well. Bulked up, but not so much it started to affect his game negatively (for the classic example, see Gabby Agbonlahor).

Henderson was bloody good this time last year, but it seems all those injuries may be taking their toll. Nevertheless, he bossed the United midfield recently.

Under pressure modric doesn't use the outside of his foot. Watch the game again from last night and you'll see that when he was cornered he was able to play the ball out on his left into space. Winks played one and I'd like to see him do this more often

It was more Gabby's ego that bulked which affected his attitude and thus his fitness - i.e. more of a non-muscular bulk growth.

Modric uses outside of his foot for style points not because he can't use his left foot, when someone tackles his right foot he will simply send long diagonals with his left. That's one thing I'd like to see Winks develop, those long diagonal passes, so far only Eriksen and Toby seems to be capable of doing them (unless I'm forgetting someone).

What a player he'll become if he keeps progressing and stays relatively injury free. (Said the same about Bentaleb!)

Reminds me of Tom Carroll!!!

Would love to have seen a video of scholes at 21.Thats the sort of player we need to complete this team.we definitely need him to become the more attacking CM imo.Dier And wanyama cover the DM.Obviously The Real game was an exception and it was needed to be more deep laying.Hopefully with growing confidence will come a bit more risk taking and attacking intent and even goals. But at this stage you couldn’t ask for much more.

I watched him at 21 and he wasn't the same player he ended up being. In fact, he was actually more of a striker/number 10 than the deep lying playmaker he became.

Great little player needs to bulk up a bit like Modric did with us but that will happen, he’s still growing in more ways than one.

Agbonlahor spent a lot of time bulking up on sticky beef and pork spring rolls at casinos. He's not a complete gym victim

Carrick is another bench mark. Alonso, Modric, Carrick - that player type is the one we desperately need and I can see him growing into that. He's already pretty great.

I joked to mates int he summer that he'd make the WC squad, now seems fairly likely given how rubs the rest of our CMs are.

The biggest problem I have with Winks is how attractive he is. My other favourite players over the years like Kane and Bale have had faces that made it difficult to crack one out whilst thinking about them. With Winks I'm halfway there even before he plays decent football. This is going to be very hard to explain to the wife.
