Was it a clear dive to win a (scoring) pen?

If so could that be a retrospective ban for Aguero?
Im almost positive I saw the #10 on the shirt but people here are talking like it was Silva. I only saw it live and on 1 replay so i can't tell for sure who it was but to me, it looked like a clear dive. Pope didnt touch him from the angle I saw, and even IF he did, it was very slight but the player flopped down like'd been sniped. Clear embellishment even if there was contact and IMO, if you embellish on slight contact, you should be subject to a yellow card. If there wasnt any contact, then he absolutely should get a retrospective ban.

Only way to stamp this conduct out if the game is by banning dives and giving out yellow cards to those who embellish after contact(dramatic flops, rolling around on the ground for 10 munutes yet being perfectly fine, etc).

If there was contact, I doubt the retrospective panel would get involved.

No contact according to sky dive according to Nicholas and stelling ?
The keeper came off his line to collect, but was beaten to the ball by B. Silva. Pope went to ground with his arms outstretched but was able to pull his arms back and not make contact, (this is what made it look like a dive on first viewing) but ended up catching the city players trailing ankle with his knee. Pen given one nil to city game done.

I could've sworn I saw the #10 but my stream on the nbc app was a bit blurry. Oh well. Still looked a dive to me.
Yeah yeah, you just thought look at that Dirty Mexican cheat...:p

(only joshing I know you're not a trumpeteer. (y))

definately not a dive, there was clear contact. One of those instances were, it's a regular garden variety foul given anywhere else on the pitch, but in the box, these instances get overlooked at times. making it debatable.

I have chosen to spend my time watching the Newcasltle Vs Palace game...

My word, it's a festival of mediocrity...

Andros is the standout player, which should tell you something about the game.

Never seen so many 50 yard back passes in a game. (one for the showboat reel :cautious: )

ha, Gareth Southgate is there as well. Didn't look happy when the camera panned to him.

I honestly think United's ultra defensive strategy from last week is having repercussions. You can't play one style one week and then the complete opposite the week after. Players aren't sharp enough to attack, not sharp with their passes and take some time to find their groove again. Doesn't excuse United's defending but explains how ponderous they've been in attack. Huddersfield have been excellent. My mate is a nervous wreck at the moment
