If Davies has been ill for a week how can he be fit enough for the bench and not fit enough to start? Also why have two left backs on the bench anyway? Would have had Davies and KWP myself.

Did they know about it? What confirmation do we have of that? My concern is they knew about it being published but didn't know the way Poch had worded things and it may have caused issues.

Dier not being in the side is concerning, can't remember the last time he missed a game, it can't be a tactical decision surely?

Aurier on Salah's side I assume. Tactically I guess that's decent idea.

No Sissoko or Dier in midfield seems a tad optimistic though.

That said, if we work hard as a team we've got some serious attacking talent in that side.

Have you never seen a player come back from illness/injury start on the bench before? It's not exactly revolutionary.
