My guess is it’s the same formation as against Real Madrid - Trips into LWB, Dele for Sissoko and Son for Llorente.

Other than that, it’s the same side so can play the same way which, just a few days ago, we were all wanking ourselves silly over

Its not the same synergy (i would think) when there is no true dm in the line up? I believe we can get a good result with this team but the lack of strenght in the middle scares me.

Looking at that line up and our recent form against Liverpool I'll be happy with a Desmond today, that's what I am predicting

I haven't worried for weeks, let's not be hyperbolic. I have been extremely positive, even when we played Madrid I said I thought we would win the game, I have not said anything negative in recent weeks, when I witnessed the lineup against Madrid it concerned me but we played really well.

It's ok to have concerns, this whole mentality of "everything is fine all the time" is just an unrealistic outlook.

I am concerned because we have had reports on Dier and now suddenly he is on the bench because he had an illness, do you not find that suspicious? Not even in the slightest?

I mean sure, there could be nothing to it but it just seems like too much of a coincidence to me, also, that lineup is concerning, it could be a masterstroke or it could end terribly.

Also, when you have been a spurs fan your entire life it isn't easy to let go of worry when it comes to this club.

Admit it, you're bricking it right now arnt you!?

Pleased to see Son playing, no doubt Poch sees the high press Liverpool play as an opportunity to use pace behind their high defence.,

Time to put in a proper performance at Wembley, it's long over due.

Hoping we play with urgency and tempo.

Yes LOL.

We have a shit record against pool, we aren't great at Wembley and that lineup looks like we are asking for trouble.

Which probably means we will win 5-0 and this will be a masterstroke.

...so the answer to Dier getting turned over last year is...no midfield?

I think I might just stop posting in match day threads, clearly it's hard for people to embrace differing opinions or understanding that a part of being a supporter isn't always agreeing.

Don't be daft.

Just don't take every reply so seriously mate!

Am I remembering incorrectly or has Pochettino said before that he sees Winks' best position as a 6 (or whatever the fuck the number is for defensive midfielder)? This will be a good test of that.

If eriksen can be as good in a cm 2 we have room for an extra atacking player like city do

Can see us getting overran in midfield today.Surely sissoko has to start if dier is ill?
A midfield of winks eriksen and alli is not strong enough or solid enough defensively

Im not so worried about the 2 rb's scenario. Im not even worried about a cm duo of eriksen and winks. What i am worried about is how looses both alli and son are with the ball.
I think the aim is to explore the space that there fullbacks leave wide open and to get son and alli in behind them but they both have to be 'on it' to work otherwise the ball is coming straight back.

I reckon Poch has been lingering around Davies too much. Gone and contracted flu
