Spot on mate. First time we’ve had the players to play 5 at the back also and refreshing seeing us have this plan B of sit back and counter. I’d say that is the difference between us and Liverpool, they have plan A high press very attacking, we now have a few plans 4-2-3-1,5-3-2 and high press, mid press and deeper counter.

Usually shitting it against them but think this new tactic makes them very vulnerable. They may well score again but I’d like to think we will also. What a game.

Could be 5-6 on the board. Like the shape and the counterattacking style we are exploring against sides that press and have quality on the ball.

Still 3-1 at 65 I put Dier for Dele on just to tighten things up a bit. Son’s pace offers a bit more stretch than Dele.

Such a deserved third. Ideally, they chase, we get another and then we are into spanking territory, fingers crossed.

Definitely game will really open up for us this second half - we have the quality to pick them off, we just have to make sure will take those chances and also make sure we keep it right at the back, as they are dangerous - lets not make this 45 minutes any harder than it needs be.

Great that we got scoring from Son and Alli as well as Kane. Just gives everyone more confidence re our attacking threat going into the second half.

Time will tell, like Tuesday, could be brave genius could be fucking nuts, either way we are going to have to be right at it whatever and however we play because Liverpool like playing teams like us who are proactive, and they are under massive pressure to pick up some points and know Spurs at Wembley will be a good chance.

Put Trippier/Aurier wrong way round, but this was a pretty decent pre match read of Poch's thinking if I say so myself.

We've got to keep at it, Kane, Son, Eriksen, Winks and Alli have got to press smart and not allow them to pick off passes, because they can still hurt us and two goals is nothing for either them or us, both teams have got goals in them.

3-1 score possibly flatters them more than us, but football has a habit of delivering different halves of football.

We are missing Dier (or Wanyama) to help shield the back line today. Hard to say who would have to come off though. Very dynamic on the counter right now.

With less protection in the midfield we have to keep the pressing up, the full backs have been doing a good job chipping in too.

Kane TOTALLY schooled lovren on then second goal too. Drew him in thinking the ball is reachable but by the time he gets there kane has turned n gone :LOL:

On a serious not though. I will start to get a tad edgy as the the game goes on in the cm area. If winjaldum comes on then id equal it with sissoko

True enough but they now have all the problems - all we have to do is stay switched on - Lloris needs to make sure he's switched on - pick them off and be clinical - we'll get plenty of chances this second half

Wish i was watching this with my liverpool supporting step dad. COYS lets start the second half well and get some more goals, we could have had more this game already.
