That could be the issue. A castle in a different country. :ROFLMAO:

Like I said in my post... "Slight concern" not a full on crazy yet.

Lol ha ha I'd done a martial arts testing last night so was a bit zoned out when typing!

Liking Aurier more and more every time I see him play. Now, we all of the sudden have yet another LB in him, too. Aurier - he is a warrior. Waurrier, one might call him.

He's not as fast as we'd been led to believe. Not that he's a slouch by any means, but he's not lightening, & nowhere near Walker's pace.

But yeah, he looks in the modern Marcello/Rose mould of FB...tenacious as hell, really fit, good technique. If he cuts out the odd headbanger moment - as Walker did over the years - we should be fine.

Apart from the goal he handled Salah well today
Agree. Also think he got more help from Verts in the 2nd half, who provided more cover on that side 'cause they really didn't have much coming centrally against us. Seemed like a tactical shift 'cause Salah had more threatening one on ones with Aurier in the 1st half. Salah was basically their one threat the whole game, and we swamped Coutinho every time he got the ball. Dealt with them pretty easily in the end.

He is too quick to go to ground. It's like he is playing Fifa. Needs to calm down

Goes to ground far too easily and prone to the odd bizarre moment, but I'm sure once Poch has done a bit of whispering he'll be excellent.

IMO he didn't have a great first half - he didn't have the pace to beat Salah and that hindered him both defensively and going forward. After Jan took some of his defensive responsibilities in the second half, he was much improved.

he needs to be more discipline and improve on his decision making, reminds me of the early days or Drose. once that happens hes gonna be top class

Led to believe?!

Plenty of Champions league games and YouTube clips to have had a very good idea of his speed levels before he joined!

No surprise at all he’s not quite as fast as Walker but he offsets that with fair more skill on the ball vs walkers only being able to run in straight lines.

Two absolute stinking passes mared what I thought was a pretty decent game from him. Far from the level he showed at the Bernabeu, but I'm very intrigued as to how he'll look this time next season.

What?

He was a pub league footballer yesterday. Absolutely putrid. So far off Trippier. I'm not convinced he is better than Walker-Peters.

You basically bash him every game he plays, even away against Real Madrid, so I'm not surprised you'd think that.

I'd like to give him time. We've got a very good coaching team at Tottenham.
Clearly a good player in there and his base level is much higher than Rose and Walker's before they worked with Poch. Pretty confident Poch will improve his decision making which will make him a very good acquisition.
