I said it elsewhere but next Sat 28/10 is the exact same date that we beat Man U at Old Trafford by the score line 4-1 back in 1972 - 45 years ago.

Martin Peters scored all 4 that day - I was there - United had Charlton, Law, Best and a fair few other good players back then.
i was there too - the only time I have ever been to Old Trafford actually!

Missed the game as was out with the family but caught the last 20 mins on the radio, I think it was dean Saunders co-commentating, he just couldn’t praise spurs, all he kept saying was how much credit Liverpool deserved for not giving up! We did win 4-1 didn’t we?!

Bloke is clueless, why he's being employed is a mystery. He also didn't understand where all our fans were coming from to fill Wembley when we only get 35k at WHL:banghead:

Not to dissimilar to Fazio. Suspect in one system and excels in another.

Pretty different to fazio actually - Fazio is "excelling" in a completely different league so cannot compare.
Lovren was good for Southampton but inconsistent & poor for Liverpool. May be system but ultimately that is down to the manager.

Reading Klopp and Henderson's comments after the game and whilst they both gave a perfunctory "Spurs deserved to win" they both went on to say it was all down to how they made bad mistakes, it was all down to them and all they need to do is work on that!
No real respect for us or recognition of how well we played them, classless bunch.

Fucking despise Klopp, gurning yellow toothed twat!

Just occurred to me that Salah's goal today was really similar to the one we conceded to Burnley in the last minute.

Never enjoyed being amongst so many scousers in my life before....I have to say they were brilliant....when the first goal was scored there was a deathly silence until I screamed " Get in !"....the temperature dropped 400 degrees :sneaky:. The great thing about it all was they are really true footballing people and fully accepted their team's weaknesses in defence and our overall superiority. After the match I went to the gents and about a dozen of them followed me in....all I heard was "Get him lads !" then they were laughing and joking and just giving me 'stick'. Fantastic day.....so looking forward to MOTD 2
And that's how it should be. Great.

Would be an interesting petition considering it was Gary Neville co-commentating on Sky not Michael Owen. I very much doubt that Neville has a pro-liverpool bias somehow.
You're right and in fact Neville was glowing about Spurs so I don't know what the other poster was on about.

Chamberlain is so average it's unbelievable. How Arsenal got so much for him I'll never know. He's a bottom half premier league player.

Was a good player when he first went to Arsenal. Maybe he needs a manager that knows how to use him.

Great performance all round. Would have loved to see us really tear into them after we went 4 up, but it’s not in our nature. We were like a majestic lion casually ambling after a retarded gazelle.

This is the same guy who in the summer, said that if Liverpool were to sell Coutinho they should just go and buy Dele Alli and Harry Kane from Spurs because, and I quote, 'they're obviously a selling club, they sold Gareth Bale didn't they?'
I literally spat coffee everywhere.
He's one of those pundits who's brain is still stuck the 80s.
