Ideally we would rest as many as possible, but i'd still like to see us progress in this as it presents the first and easiest trophy we could win:

Vorm
Foyth - Dier - Vertonghen
Walker Peters - Sissoko - Kid* - Rose
Dele - Son
Llorente

* Whoever Poch deems fittest/most ready from Oakley Booth, Georgiou etc
I'd rather Davies play at CB than Verts, we should rest him if we can.

Don't care how "easy" it is. If it's that "easy" we should have won it already. We are flying in the league and seriously pushing for CL advancement. We have a small squad with plenty of injuries and concerns over match fitness. Something has to give, and this is the competition we can't care about.

Teams that win this are generally big teams that take it seriously. We are a big team so if we take it seriously we can win it. Would be criminal if this group of players don’t win a cup

100 %. But it would be even worse to not prioritise correctly during this period and fail at all fronts. If serious about going for a trophy, one must make hard decisions.

Oakley Boothe is Away on international duty & Georgiou is a winger so niether can play in that position.

I suppose Amos is currently next in line for it but imo he’s not very good.

Fair points. Maybe drop Dele in alongside MS and play GKN and Son off Llorente.

Can easily put out a very good team and not interfere with other competitions
Vorm
KWP foyth davies Rose
Sissoko dier
Son dele Nkoudou
Llorente

I’d play dele as having missed CL games should be fresh. Also Son is fresh and nobody else their played yesterday.3 wins away from a home Wembley final.

Some good analysis on MOTD2 on West Ham - they're bottom in the league for distance covered and sprints, and it really showed in their chasing back/closing down at the weekend. No effort or teamwork at times.

For me we will see a reaction against us - they will work a bit harder at least but if we take the lead at home (like in the last game against them) i can't see them fighting back. I think Bilic is on the brink - a loss to us and palace will probably see him go.

Team needs to be competitive, but we do need to offer a rest to a couple of players.

Would love to see significant minutes for Rose, minutes off the bench for Lamela and an Edwards cameo, but we'll see.

Hopefully we rest a number of key players in this busy period. This is the game that means the least in this run.

Vorm
Foyth Alderweireld Davies
Walker-Peters Sissoko Dier Rose
Son Llorente N'Koudou
Subs: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Vertonghen, Winks, Lamela, Edwards, Kane.

That back four is asking to get beat, even against West Ham.

Foyth will start I imagine, but he needs to be playing with recognised CB’s.

Agree with the rest of it though.

Game is about glory lads

Exactly, and there is much more glory against Man U (weekend) and Real Madrid (next week) than against West Ham in the Caribou cup.

We don't need to rest entire first XI squad - the likes of Llorente, Alli, Son, Davies, Sissoko, Rose, Lamela etc. need games as do fringe players like Hoyth, N'Koudou. We just don't need to risk players like Winks, Vertonghen, Kane, Eriksen in this fixture with big games looming.

Vorm
Hoyth----Aldereiweld----Davies
KWP-------------------Dier-------------------Rose
Sissoko------Alli
Son
Llorente

Subs: Lloris, Verts, Trippier, N'Koudou, TOB, Lamela, Edwards

Amos and Georgiou both starting for the U23s today. Doesn't rule out them being on the bench for Wednesday I guess.

Who would take a loss on Wednesday if it meant three points on Saturday?

Alli hasn't had an abundance of football under his belt this season so see little reason to not include him here.

Expect one of Vertonghen or Alderweireld to help marshal the defence but the likes of KWP and Foyth should definitely feature here.

Think @spids has got it about it right personally with that lineup.

I’d like to see Walker-Peters in there as needs game time and confidence from this to continue integration into squad as he’ll be a good option to call upon.

Signing Aurier has taken heat off a bit but he still needs to be blooded in.
