I am 100% sure Kane this season has increased his speed in short sprints. That left footed drive into box was a thing of beauty, shame shot was blocked.

It's pretty clear he is only improving. Only "weakness" was his speed but now looks like somehow Kane has got some marginal gain somewhere in diet or training regime to get that acceleration by a good margin.

He's now deceptively pretty bloody quick tbf.

And he's also a much more skilful player than he's getting credit for even now.. That move and run down the line against Madrid being a case in point. Absolute class.

People also forget (or never knew) that he was scoring in the league for Southampton before the Premier League was even formed. But as they were "First Division" goals they don't get counted. Add those on and it's another 23 goals.
Yeah but if we're adding on First Division goals, then it's not Shearer's record at all, so the 283 he scored becomes totally irrelevant.

It's either 260 to beat Shearer's Premier League record (could happen) or 357 to beat Jimmy Greaves' top flight record (won't happen!).

What struck me again yesterday was his strength. He was just shrugging off challenges and holding off players with ease. He did it to Ramos midweek and again to their muppets at the back yesterday. He's just so powerful now.

He was the very definition of world class yesterday.

He scored a pochers goal, he scored a goal of his own making, he got an assist, he gave their defence a torrid time all the while he was on the pitch. He even won the ball in his own box then sprinted 90 yards to get a chance at their end.

Zidane is right, he has it all.

Yep. 2 different types of goal, one brilliant assist, and won the free kick for our other goal (Alli's). Plus he won the free kick that he ultimately scored from for our 4th. Just involved in everything.

And as poor as the defending was from Lovren for Kane's assist, people are overlooking what Kane did to draw Lovren under the ball in the first place. It was a very deliberate attempt to make Lovren do exactly what he did.

You'll struggle to find a better all round performance by a striker anywhere this season.

I can't get that pass to Son out of my mind. I just can't.

The guy is fucking magic. It's like some Spurs fan created him in a computer program and then somehow brought him to life.

Let me get this straight: there's a lifelong, boyhood Spurs fan who might be the best pure number 9 on earth- and he plays for us?!?

Wow.

Just seen a pic of Harry at the goldenbollocks ceremony. He looks great and he is wearing a poppy.

Got to love that!

I think Alli won that free kick, after taking the ball off Can.

THE best striker in the league.

I'd go further. I'm pretty certain he's the best striker in the world at the moment.

The thing that gets me is that every game you can see something he's improved on from the previous match. He's still adding things to his game as well as improving the things he's already got. With Modric and Bale you could see them getting better and better over time, but you didn't see it from game to game like you do with Kane.
