If we don't score early I can see this game turning into a stinker with Maureens dont lose, anti football, approach.
Not optimistic of a good game.
As long as we dont lose I'll take it.

Quite a few paper stories re Kane hamstring. But he seemed fine after game and can’t believe he’d go to that awards show if there was a problem.most likely all bollox.

We have a really handy central defence, and all fit; Wbs ready to go. Aurier on the right and either Davies or Rose on the left. Utd have their work cut out to get anything from this game. Not sure what the Kane news is, but I still think we can get a result from this game. Utd have looked pretty vulnerable recently. Think it'll be close, but we should get a point at least.

Agree, but our defence is more solid than theirs from CDs to WBs, right across the line. They've had a pretty easy run of PL fixtures too. They're at home too, more pressure on Jose to at least try and go forward a little, and not park the bus like they did at Livepool.

It'll be interesting, a cagey affair, but we can win this if we take our chances.

Fucking hell, Dele was outstanding against Liverpool. So much so that even BC said so and we all know his opinion of the guy.

Lloris
Alderweireld - Sanchez - Vertonghen
Aurier - Eriksen - Winks - Dele - Davies
Kane - Son
If Kane isn't fit, which I personally suspect he won't be, then Dembele in for him and Eriksen further forward behind Son.

I think Dier will be one of the first names on the team sheet at OT.

He was holding his hamstring when he came off v Liverpool. Rested v WHU so I think there is some legitimate concern there, especially with Llorente being subbed when we needed a goal in the Haribo Cup.

Worrying about Kane if true. That said we haven't turned up at this fixture for the past 2 seasons and put in really strange abject performances. Also have a feeling Mourinho will finally start Rashford in this, him and Martials pace would be my main concerns.

Lets be solid. Dembele/Dier in midfield, we have enough quality upfront to get a goal or two. With that team we would absolutely win the midfield battle.

Personally think that would play right into Mourinho's hands. I don't think we should be putting such a gung-ho team out against them.

We were expected to be cagey against Liverpool but Poch surprised us by in effect going all out attack. You don’t put in the performance of a season and then think sod it let’s go back to being a brick wall and hope we pinch a goal. By doing that we’re actively inviting Utd to attack us and putting us in a sticky situation by not having the right personnel to counter attack at pace ie Son.

Yeah, at this point I'm thinking if poch does it then its going to work. I just think playing Liverpool and playing Mourinho's United are two completely different games. Poch has shown his flexibility depending on the opposition so I can't see him just ignoring who we're playing and sticking out the same 11 regardless.

With the lineup I suggested, we wouldnt be inviting United to attack us, we would be dominating the ball ourselves. The team we put out v Liverpool is what you would call inviting the other team to attack and playing on the counter.
