We are in an uneven playing field in terms of the other big sides in regards to money. What poch has done these last three years is nothing short of a minor miracle. People need to remember that when we have a defeat.

Aurier was rubbish. Young was getting the better of him ffs

There's something about these away games where we just shrink. That's with Kane too. These games are just replays of the previous year

I'm not convinced he's a better option than Trippier. At least with Trips, there's more chance of something creative happening.

Trying not to overreact as I felt we battled for the majority and didn't deserve to lose.

However, there is a final hurdle that we have been screaming for the team to overcome and it's coming to these places and not being afraid to either go and win the game or manage the game in-play better.

If this team is to win something this will need to change in the next two years otherwise players will question whether we ever will win anything.

But that comes down to sheer lack of quality in depth which we don't have if Kane is out then we have very little to offer up top.

Well obviously closing a gap means the other side have to lose and we have to win more.

Thanks.

I don't see us winning more than they lose from here on out as they essentially have a 9 point lead with GD considered. But the head to heads with them could reel them in as they are six point swings. At least four points in those is our last saving grace.

And Aurier? Fuck me, he needs to buck his ideas up.

Obviously as he's new to the league he needs to be given time to settle in, but so far I've not seen anything to suggest he's even as good as Walker, let alone better like so many were harrumphing when we signed him.

We didn't deserve to lose but got done by a simple route one. Toby backs off the header as he doesn't feel he's gonna get anywhere and Dier in unaware of any danger. Full credit to Jan busting a gut to prevent it. It was a sloppy schoolboy goal to concede really. If alli finishes that chance we win that game.

Typical Jose performance. Not the end of the world

I thought, when seeing Son starting, that we would bring on Llorente and pump those crosses in. Still not happening.

But, something I noticed, Llorente doesn't place himself in an optimal position either. He runs towards the player in possession, aiming to act as a hold-up man. He is a tall player, and probably a good header of the ball, but he may not have been instructed to act this way. Which would be weird in itself.

Yes it's frustrating but football fans are so fickle

Last week we drew with the best team in the world at their place and smashed lpool 4-1 and now we lose 1-0 to a long ball team who spent million upon millions to do so and we're toothless bottle jobs who never perform in big games

???
Thats a bit of a contridiction...........you praise the team for drawing with RM and beating the bin dippers.........both big games.... then say we are legends and don't perform in big games........which is it to be?

Pissed off yes but it's only 10 games and we are still in the mix.Any team will miss not having Kane.

With the way City are playing we aren't in the mix unless they have a huge drop in form which I can't see happening, I think they are going to walk the league quite frankly, if they win their next game can you see them dropping 8 points and us catching them?

Sorry but I can't see it, I said last season, a strong start to the season is important in this league, Chelsea started strong last season and won it, City have this season, we need to start being leaders rather than chasers.

Hope winks learns from this game as i thought he was really dissappointing. Had plenty of ball and passed it ok but didnt display the belief imo that he could create anything.too often passed the buck by looking to give it to eriksen too much

You can’t over react about a 1-0 away defeat......unless you want to be champions. These marginal losses are the difference.

Alli should score.

Dier should read that flick on.

Vertongen should start 3 yards deeper on the cover he was no were.

3 Terrible errors, is the fine margin in a massive game.

And Jan gets away without any blame when he was the one that wasn't goal side of his man who scored... okay then.

Win the initial header and job done - its criminal to allow Lakaku so much space to win the header like that, yes granted after that, we needed to tidy up and didn't - But Toby was as much to blame - he challenges Lakaku at least he was yards off him.
