I would like to see a Davies and Rose combination on the left wing to see how they work together. Rose was a real attacking threat with his dribbling while Davies uses the ball tidily.

Given our wing options aren't up to much Son aside maybe it's worth a try.

Looks like we are going to be the only ones to drop points today. At least I'm going on the beers with a Villa fan later. I mean, he's not going to want to talk about football, is he?!?!

Ask him all about Josh's time there so far and what they think of him.

So, we threw the cup on Wed for this game.... and that ended well

Look at West Ham, they are through and winning comfortably at Palace. Yes Man U v Palace are different oponents, but so are Spurs v West Ham I thought?

Could have had a tie v arsenal instead we will be at home watching emerdale whilst 2 of our rivals move closer to winning a trophy and our gamble back fired as we have come out the weekend with 0 points too
It's called supporting spurs mate close but never close enough.

Yeah it's bullshit. The mentality isn't an issue. We were tired after some draining games, players missing at the wrong time, players out of form at the wrong time and we got Jose'd.

Really could of done without that West ham farce. Stupid early round league cup London derby.
Considering that Poch knew Harry was hurt his selection for that game looks more puzzling. We had a big league game coming why run Son and Dele to death in a useless cup game. It made no sense.

Was the overall performance miles better than Wednesday of course it was. After the farce I witnessed in the second half followed up by the news that Kane would be missing what I wanted to see was real graft and commitment that was missing in midweek. I got my wish and we battled bravely today. We were not overwhelmed by Utd or outplayed, it was a very narrow defeat, and lets face facts, any team in the world would miss a player of Kane's stature.

It's a measure of how far we have come when we can pretty much match Man Utd away with what was metaphorically speaking like going into a boxing match with our best hand tied behind our backs.

I just hope some of the usual idiots in the media don't completely go overboard with bullshit bollocks such as Spurs are in crisis, Spurs are finished, all the Spurs players want to leave etc etc.

It was what it was two teams of heavyweights in the Premier League going toe to toe in a very close encounter in which one side narrowly edged it against an opponent with their most key asset missing. It's a credit to us that that is how it should now be seen as it represents real progress.

I would ask any idiot journalist or TV pundit this if they said otherwise. If Arsenal had lost narrowly when they were in their prime away at OT against a well drilled Ferguson team when they had Thierry Henry missing due to an injury would they come out with the bollocks they usually reserve for us ? No they wouldn't ! They would come out with similar analogies and sentiments to what I have alluded too in the last paragraph.

COYS !! We still love you and we're still bloody proud of you, but FFS stop giving the Spammers too much charity and ways back into games !!! If you go 2 or 3 up against them next time keep your bloody foot on the gas and rout them by 4,5 or 6.......

Once you know you arent winning it you have to retreat and read it. Not one defender in football history was beating Lukaku to that ball. It was bang on his head and he is a monster

Sorry but the balls come from out of the keepers hands - we have plenty of time to make a challenge - Sunday morning stuff and very basic defending - should never ever be beat at this level as easily as that. So basically there's just no point attempting to challenge Lakuku in the air what so ever?

You can have the smallest bloke on the pitch beating a much taller more powerful man in the air - it's simple about timing, judgement and also a fucking will to want to win the ball in the first place.

Well... Think the best we got out of the match is 24hours more prep time for our next match. Plus RM have to travel. So thank u... Sky sports? Or whoever does the Tv schedule. But I totally missed out as I am no where near home at 7.30pm on a Saturday night.

Piss poor defending from the header to the fake attempt from vertonghen to make a flimsy challenge shit defending, but then we can't deal with the aerial stuff well at all as evident from two games against West ham.

Yeah, it's not like we've had the best defence in the league for the last two seasons or anything.
