People get cross after a game. I understand that. The following day can be a bit dispiriting too, especially if you've been subject to a bit of 'banter' from opposition fans. But once two days have passed, then surely Liverpool fans have told each other to 'calm down, calm down' and focus on next weekend's game.

Yes?

Err No. This is from an hour and a half ago.

"For the most part they sat back like the poncey fucking ****s they are and waited for us to come onto them and make an unforced error upon which they pounced like Notts Forest of old [Clough's shower of fucking bastards] used to do every fucking time they played us. I've fucking despised it ever since Helenio Herrera invented the fucking thing so forgive me if I won't afford it the fucking steam off my shit [praise wise that is]."

Hmm. A bit touchy still then. But, hey, it'll blow over soon. Unless, of course, they've actually planned to be cross tomorrow...

"Did you see Chris Bascombe's unbelievable marks for Spurs in the Telegraph. I think he gave them eight 8's, a 7, a 9 and one 6. What a fucking joke. Which reminds me I tried to ring him today to tell him what a complete load of utter bollocks but didn't get an answer so I'll try again first thing tomorrow. The Spurs fawning creep."

o_O:ROFLMAO:

Do you know what? I think we might just, ever so slightly, have wound them up on Sunday...

Always baffles me when people get wound up over player ratings in the paper. Firstly, any journo will tell you it's something they put almost no effort into and just cobble it together at the end before the submit their match report so they don't take it seriously at all. Secondly, people reporting on the game usually have to submit their match report a couple of minutes after the final whistle. Therefore they usually will write their introduction stuff beforehand, watch the first half properly, and then spend most of the second half writing the match report while praying that there isn't some dramatic comeback etc. that will render what they've written useless. So for most of the second half they aren't paying too much attention to the game anyway, just looking up whenever there's a chance etc.

In summary, player ratings are basically a load of bollocks that nobody at the paper really cares about so why on earth do people get so wound up by it? Who the fuck cares?

Madridistas are ironing their white hankies as we speak

That we are afraid of Tottenham says a lot about what is happening to this club.

And at the Bernabéu did you feel like it or not? because the party could have won or lost anyway.

Madrid right now even at the maximum effort is not able to win with authority.
A draw and I consider myself well served ...

Not even sure the journalist has anything to do with the player ratings, Neil Ashton got called out on this a couple of seasons back and he admitted he has nothing to do with them.

I suppose it just depends on the person/paper. I know some of them definitely do their own ones but like I say, it's the absolute last thing they care about in all the chaos of trying to get your report in on time. Not a whole lot of thought goes into it.

Why Liverpool's Mohamed Salah is a more clinical finisher than Tottenham's Harry Kane

If Kane were a pure predator type finisher there may be some value to these stats. As it is they are ignoring the fact that Harry makes an awful lot of those chances for himself. Saying the others mentioned there would have scored more had they been graced with The same service as Kane is both pointless and impossible being as none of them are able to do what Kane does. All about the hits and playing up to a target audience.

It's simple he scores more goals because the others are more limited in the type of chances they can and will take on. In some positions they would rather pass the ball than be able to make a yard or two to get the shot away.

Most of Salah's shots for instance have literally been put there on a plate,he only needs to be direct in order to have a shot. Kane has to work his shots with far more intelligence, which is why he gets more shooting opportunities.

It's pieces like this that gives stats a bad name.
Kane takes far more shots outside the box than the other players. Morata takes all his shots inside the box, so how in the fuck would it make sense to suggest that it was possible to transfer the conversion rate from shots inside the box to shots outside the box?

The best use of the chart is to see that Kane has gotten into many very good positions for his shots (as opposed to having most his shots be from 20 yards and out) and converted a lower percentage than he normally would. Looking back at august, where he hit posts, bars and forced worldie saves every game, he could easily have had six or seven goals in that month alone.

Which made his tally in september impressive, but not hugely surprising. And while we cannot expect those numbers of goals each month, as long as he keeps on averaging 6 shots a game from pretty good positions, he will keep on getting an obscene amount of goals.

The spoilt twats / champions of the world are melting, and they're melting hard.

Harry Kane was not in front of United reserving to play this game.

It will be difficult to arrive, if we do not have more opportunity ... after the Gironazo I do not know what to expect from the team anymore.

Also without Bale, Navas and Varane ...
We have been missing since August.
They can earn us and easy.

It seems that Kane has a muscular problem. It is serious doubt. If he does not play, they lose all scoring ability. Tb isco is doubt and more serious even than Kane

Llorente is capable of getting us more goals than Benzema and Cristiano together at this moment.

I do not give Madrid a favorite in anything at this time. Tottenham is a hundred times more team than Girona.
the pair kross Modric is not working, right now Ceballos would have a place there and Mayoral can play tomorrow perfectly for Benzema that he should not play by decree every game.

Favourite? A team that has done the most pitiful of ridicules before another recently promoted and whose party will go to the annals of the blackest and ridiculous lists that Madrid has done in its history, should never be considered a favorite. What can surprise you in London? Of course, as Apoel can do in the same place. Madrid has left, again, to be a great team to become a vulgar neighborhood club run by an opportunist of care. When we get serious again, please wake me up. While, I take advantage of the time in more useful things because this shit we suffer today and we had been denouncing it even before starting this ordeal of self-centered and conformist people without eggs. It's not worth it to get pissed off by riffraff who charge their weight in gold

Lift your head? I doubt it because, as before, the costumes are a powder keg ready to jump through the air at the first shit; that, sure, will come and more than once. Now Zizou reminds me of Benitez before being replaced by the Gaul because few players already trust him other than those of the squad. I'm sick of this situation that we seem doomed to return again and again. And what a coincidence, with this nefarious president always as the protagonist of the detonations. There must be a reason

The Varane thing is already beginning to be ridiculous. A joke in bad taste. If Kane is missing at least they lose much of their offensive potential and we can try to tie the 0-0

CASIILLA
NACHO CASEMIRO RAMOS THEO

MODRIC LLORENTE MARCELO

ISCO
CRISTIANO BENZEMA

With this team we aspire not to lose by more than two goals. Tolerable, but not for more.
