I’d blood foyth as quickly as possible DM.Maybe give him a start against palace. For me he has everything to be a top DM.If dier gets injured we are well and truely screwed.Would leave us no obvious DM and 3 Experienced CB.

I think we can get away with a 3-5-2 system and have Winks as the defensive midfielder if needed.

We could also try and blood Oakley-Boothe, not ideal to rush him in but he is a defensive midfielder and it might not hurt to keep him around squad and get him as much experience as possible maybe later in games where we're hopefully comfortable.

Kane to be assessed tomorrow before the game. We normally don't rush players back, so I do hope we wont be taking any chances.

Wanyama starting fieldwork this week. Sounds like good news?

Wanyama sounds like good news. However sure the “fieldwork” line was used with Lamela about 6 months ago lol.but I’d rather here fieldwork than specialist.

My personal opinion is that CE struggles without Dembele or Wanyama as he is less effective with winks . I thinks HW has been fantastic but those 2 haven’t gelled yet which is understandable.
MS can only play through the middle as my posts stated last year when we bought him !!

Thanks for your input.

I know we`re not supposed to be asking questions, but I`ll take one for the team here.

Can you please, please, please give us just a hint on; WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH LAMELA?

Feels like I could have broken both my legs, and have a brain surgery in between and still recover faster then him.

This seems somewhat at odds with the "out for the season" reports. Would he be doing fieldwork with a bad injury? Confused.

The whole wanyama out for season. Was based on one comment from a journo on Sunday supplement. It was however backed up by jj.So I’m slightly surprised. But like I say I’m sure this “ fieldwork” comments have been trotted out before.Think I even remember it with Rose ,so not getting to excited yet. Surely Lamela has to be on bench for palace ,he’s been with full squad for at least a month.

From Spurs website:

"Victor Wanyama (knee)
Starting fieldwork training this week as he continues his recover"

He is using his time while injured to get some sort of qualification in geography or surveying?

I'm reading places that Lamela is back and available for selection now on Sunday...is this true?

He's been available for selection since the West Ham game, the problem is getting him mentally prepared by the sounds.

I don't know why we aren't giving him minutes in the PL2 team (are over age players eligible?!). Presumably he can play for them...

Hopefully this is the case and in the 18 on Sunday. Would love to get him back to form and full fitness before the busy period in December

As Poch has said, the coaching and medical teams feel he's ready, but Lamela himself is not convinced he is 100%.

2 ways to interpret that, and neither are overly positive imo.

Completely understandable and nothing to worry about IMO, gonna need to have quite a few kickabouts after a year out to regain confidence in body.

Again Poch's been pretty frank on Lamela - just hope there's other reason for him not being there when asked to...seemingly none can be viewed as positive tho.

Despite serving the final game of his three-match ban, Alli travelled with the rest of the squad to Madrid for the 1-1 draw a fortnight ago and trained with the squad in the Santiago Bernabeu on the night before the game.

Pochettino said he was one of a number of unavailable players who wanted to travel, saying it is evidence of a shift in mentality at the club.

He said: "The good thing was many players asked me about going, to be with the team. It was not only my decision. It was my final decision to take him but many players who were injured said 'we want to stay with the team, it's a good opportunity to stay,' and that I think is so important.

"Something starts to move in the group, in the club, to feel you're part of the group and the project and everything. I think that is the last step that we need, to be stronger mentally. It's not about running more, doing more sessions, tactical or playing in a different way. I think the last step for us as a group and a club is mental, and we must work very hard to try to change everything in the future."

Spurs are level with Real on seven points at the top of their Champions League group after a 1-1 draw in Spain a fortnight ago.

Any player resuming full contact training would be ready for bench after couple weeks.Rose pretty much came from nowhere and after a week was on bench.Lamela has been at least a month now.Its certainly been a very very odd drawn out saga.

Yeah. But the problem is psychological.
